This trail takes place in the immense and magnificent mountains of Madeira. Along the way, you can enjoy the wonderful landscapes composed by the formidable rock formations, sometimes covered by the clouds and the villages that can be seen in the distance. Stop once in a while and feel the great feeling to be closer to the sky.
Also in this journey, you can visit the three highest peaks of Madeira: Pico do Areeiro, Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo.
This is a mountain trail so it requires some physical preparation and endurance for hikers, who are faced with many ups and downs. However, the effort required is offset by extraordinary views that the walk provides.

We will Walk along the highest mountains of Madeira Island. We will see amazing views and sometimes walk along the clouds. It is paradise and peaceful. Some parts might be physically demanding.

5.00The hike was exiting, for us doing mountaining in Norway it was exactly what we expected. The weather condition was also good, even that the fog came now and then. We also had the most kind and knowledgable guide from the hotel to to Pico Arieiro and from Achedo do Teixeira and back to the hotel. My wife very much liked that he drove carefully.

5.00A wonderful hike with two very pleasant helpful, and knowledgeable guides (one was a trainee). It's not essential to go with a guide, because this hike is well-maintained and well-marked, with protective fences wherever needed, but being with the guide will provide an extra layer of security and make the experience more interesting due to their knowledge of the area's history, flora and fauna. A major bonus was the many photos taken of us and the landscape by the guides and shared with us afterwards. We were picked up punctually from our accommodation and reached the parking area at Pico Areeiro well before sunrise. We were lucky to have a clear day and the hike was spectacular all the way. It is a strenuous 10km and you need to be in good shape. We were driven back to our accommodation for mid-afternoon. We'd highly recommend this company without any hesitation. As well, unlike most of the tours advertised on the international booking platforms, this one doesn't require a minimum of 4 clients for a guided trip.

5.00Thank you to Richard, Duarte and Andre for a great trip! We originally planned to hike from Pico Areeiro to Pico Ruivo, but given the fog and bad visibility, Richard offered us other hikes to do at lower altitudes. We did the Larano vereda, with stunning views along the northern coast of the island, and as we were walking Richard and Andre told us all about the history of the island, the wildlife, and the vegetation. The Boca do Risco was a highlight, and the walk into Machico along the Levada was beautiful. Richard and co. were very accommodating and let us choose the pace, where we stopped, and so on. Muito obrigado!

5.00Excellent several days exploring Madeira with Richard! Richard as a guide is very pleasant, helpful, easy going and has a great sense of humour. We took several hiking trips around Madeira as a group with him and had wonderful experience. He can take you to see places that are not offered by every agency and flooded with tourists. Highly recommend :-)

5.00Duarte is an excellent and reliable driver. We used the private service for our peak to peak wal. The taxi was waiting for us at the agreed time and location. Clean taxi, smooth driving. Also, Duarte knows practically anything about Madeira so you can ask him whatever you like. Highly recommended!
