Absolutely loved this tour & would definitely recommend. The only thing that was disappointing & lost a star in the ratings was it is advertised as air conditioned bus but it definitely was not air conditioned unless you wanted HOT air. The back of the bus was so hot making us feel nauseous so definitely go for the front seat if you can as their are no other windows on the bus except front seat. The Tour guide think his name was Matt if I recall was AMAZING & couldn't have had a better guide.

I gave this tour 4/5 for the places we visited which was beautiful and our tour guide Matt was fantastic. However, the tour company could do with better communication, I couldn’t get hold of anyone as in my TripAdvisor app I couldn’t see the itinerary or anything, after emailing I still didn’t get much communication back . The bus was very old and not comfortable at all, there was no mic so poor Matt had to tell everyone about the place before or after we got somewhere . It also had no blinds and the sun smashed in on is all day which was very uncomfortable as it was such a hot day.

Matt was a great guide, made the information interesting and funny! He went out of his way to ensure we had decent food stops, even though it was New Year’s Day and a lot of places were closed. The highlight was the sight of the little blue penguins climbing up the hills from the beach back to their nests!

Matty was an amazing guide! Attentive, kind, funny & knowledgeable and gave the whole tour a relaxed and enjoyable feeling. Would definitely recommend it if he's your guide. It's a good way of knocking out 2 main attractions outside of Melbourne in one day and was an enjoyable day, although the penguin parade was simply too busy in my opinion however that's out of their control. My only rather major complaint about this tour was the boarding process. When we arrived there was only one minibus there and about 85 people. The first guide had the wrong passenger list so we all gathered round which was hard to hear him listing off names for about 10 minutes till he realized he had the wrong list. Annoying but not a problem.... He then said only one more bus would be coming and still around 50 people were there. The second bus arrived, filled up then the rude driver said "your obviously in the wrong place, there is no more bus, go away..." Luckily as he said this Matty turned up for the rest of us but instead of that other driver apologizing he just said "your lucky you get to go..." What sort of customer service is that!!!! All the buses were from the same company so just lucky I wasn't with him. Overall we had a great experience, but if you had one of the other guides I'm certain it wouldn't be great.

Terry was a great host - very knowledgeable and ensured we stayed on time. He was good fun. He gave great advice on where to sit/stand at the penguin parade and places to eat. It did feel quite rushed at times and didn't always get the amount of time we may have liked at some of the stops but that is to be expected on a tour. We really enjoyed Puffing Billy too and had our own carriage for the group so everyone could sit hanging out the side and see all the views.

A long day with a lot of travelling. The two main experiences were ok but we had a driver that made the whole experience feel like a school trip with you worst teacher. He treated everyone like children, even telling people they were not allowed to go to the toilet or purchase a drink due to time constraints. He was quite rude to a family who had turned up with a lady in a wheelchair as this was apparently an issue getting the chair on the bus. He even made a point that during the day everyone had to be back on the bus by a certain time and how disrespectful it was to be late. Ironically he was then 10 minutes late back at one stop but with no apology. Its great to have some commentry on things of interest while on the road but he decided to mention almost everything in sight to the point where everyone just talked amongst themselves as it really wasnt that interesting. He also became a little political, sharing his opinion on various issues affecting Australia. We missed most of the penguins as we had to be back on the bus by a certain time so after a very long day we missed the main event really.

What a great experience, the only problem was by the time we got to the penguins on Phillips island we were exhausted. Perhaps starting a little later and skipping some of the less interesting stops may have increased our enjoyment

This tour group is utterly hopeless. We tried to get in touch with them throughout the weeks leading up to the tour as they sent us two sets of instructions for pick up. 10:30 and 12:30. We have trails of emails, messages and phone calls from us and Viator. Viator couldn’t even get a hold of them using the number or email provided. The phone number goes into a voice box. Emails are not acknowledged and responded to. Needless to say, we went to the pick up point at 10:00 to be there early and waited and waited to no avail. Finally at 11:15 another one of their bus drivers came and was able to phone the manager and confirmed that pickup time was 12:30. However Viator and the ticket generated notes a 10;30 pick up time. Viator was hopeless in helping us resolve this issue. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND TOURING WITH THIS GROUP. THERE ARE MORE RELIABLE COMPANIES.

This was an enjoyable tour. I had done the penguins 25 years ago and had been blown away by the experience. Unfortunately it has changed and is so busy now that it did not compare for me but kids still enjoyed and Puffing Billy was fun too.
