We booked the longer day session early morning pick up so we could have more time at the venues. Without reason we got bumped to a shorter day. Only by email. So turned up at the meeting site and basically told your not on the list.. no explanation.no call this number..called the company contact number to a recorded message. So ripped off really. 4hours less meant we didn't get to the other sheduled sites for long and one not at all. As for puffing billy. It is good and worth the trip. The penguins were cute and a different experience. Kids loved it.

The train and sightseeing were great. Our driver/guide Simon, was terrific. He kept us happy on the long drive to and from Phillip Island. Unfortunately only a few penguins participated that night. Our only complaint was that the van used was uncomfortable. Our knees were against the seat in front and there was no place under the seat to stretch out our legs. We are not particularly tall.

Puffing Billy experience was excellent and the Trip to Phillip Island was good. Great to experience some penguins arrive back on land but hoped for a few more. Simon drove the bus and was both courteous and easy to speak to. On arrival we had initially been met by another driver who reminded everyone that they weren't in kindergarten whilst treating everyone of us as such.

Penguin parade is super cool, they are so cute and little. Can't do this anywhere else. Train is just touristy ride thru people's backyards but fun. Saw wombats, penguins, achidnas, so cute. Guide was fun and informative

Excellent tour! Very organized and on time. It’s a long day, basically noon to midnight, but really fun. Simon, our bus driver was terrific. Take a warm jacket/coat for penguin parade, it’s cold and windy at night in March. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely brilliant tour! Of course Puffing Billy and the Penguin Parade were excellent as expected but what really made it special was the couple of extra things Darren took us to. As we were a bit early for Puffing Billy, Darren took us to a rainforest area. There was cafe there for those who wanted refreshments or he suggested a short rainforest walk for those who wanted. This was brilliant as we saw a Lyre Bird, I was absolutely thrilled. Before we went to the penguin parade Darren again took us to see Nobbys, here we got to see a few penguins that had already come ashore and in daylight were able to photograph them, we also saw an Echidna, Wallabies and Cape Barren Geese. The bus was comfortable, the driving felt safe, Darren was brilliant! Highly recommend!

I had a great time on this tour. Sitting on the Puffing Billy was great fun and spotting the adorable penguins was wonderful. Our guide was really informative and knew where to find them at Nobbies Viewpoint. The parade was so memorable. It's a late return to Melbourne, but definitely well worth it.
