The experience was pretty much terrible: the train part was cancelled but no one told us about it in advance. I only found out about it on the day of the event. Also, the information was confusing, in one part were were supposed to meet at 10am, on the other part it mentioned 2:00pm. When we tried to contact through the channels provided, NO ONE was picking the phone to provide support. On top of that, a bus with NO AC on a day whose temperature was over 37 degrees Celsius was sent to take us to the Philip Island. When asking the guide if we could get reimbursed, he didn't know who we should contact for that, etc. We were waiting on the heat, in a beach area that they suddenly decided to take us on in order to "make up" for the Puffing Billy Train activity, for almost 30 minutes. Luckily, one of the other buses had some seats and took some of us for the remaining part of the experience, which was worth it. I asked for a reimbursement and the company agreed to provide an insignificant amount, inferior to the value I would pay if I only wanted to do the Puffing Billy. I do not plan to book any other activity with Wine Hope and Coastal Tours.

A must do when in Melbourne! Some bucket list moments for me and my partner. Thomas was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our day!

Jhon was an excellent host, he guided us really well throughout the trip. He is very soft spoken and kind and has a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and what to look for during the trip. He knows the terrain at the back of his hand, he is a very nice person, and you would really like his sense of humor and banter all along.

Puffing Billy was cancelled at the last minute and we were taken to Brighton Beach instead, on a hot sunny day(40c). Why will I opt to go through Viator if I had to go to Brighton Beach? I could have gone by myself!! The trip was supposed to start at 10:00am but it started at 2:25pm. The itinerary said we will be allotted 2hrs at Noobies but were allowed to stay there only for 20minutes. Overall the experience was very disappointing and was not at all the amount that is being quoted. I paid around $340 for this trip and received a refund of only $65 because Puffing Billy was cancelled. $65 refund for Puffing Billy which was the main reason we opted for this trip? When I asked Viator about the refund being so less, they simply pushed us away and asked us to contact the tour operator directly. Why will I choose Viator ever again if they are not able to support their customer?

I recently went on a tour to Puffing Billy and Phillip Island and had an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Martin, was exceptional—friendly, responsible, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared many fascinating facts throughout the trip, which made it even more enjoyable. Martin’s professionalism and approachable nature added a lot of value to the tour. Thank you for such a well-organized and memorable experience!
