Booked the Puffing Billy train tickets including a bus trip to and from Melbourne, my wife came down with a severe stomach bug the night before we travelled tried to postpone till next day not cancel just moved to the following day was not allowed because of their 24 hour cancellation policy remembering I didn’t want to cancel but postponed, i received a call mid morning saying that we could travel but would cost us an extra 50% of the $388.00 of the money we had already paid when we booked I would have paid but not that much quite pissed off about the whole episode I don’t rate them highly at all

Wow, what an experience. No where in Australia can you hang your legs out and enjoy a steam train ride., smiles all round. Michael our tour guide was perfect, patient, professional and friendly. You will get a great view either side you sit on. The only negative was a train guard Bernadette who we found rude in her delivery of safety rules. Particularly to a family with young children. Not cool. But this is still a must do.

Gina was very nice and ensured we had the best seats on the train. Also she shared a lot of activities we can do in Melbourne!

Such a great once in a lifetime experience! The volunteers are knowledgeable of the history and are passionate about the trains. The train itself is well maintained and the history is well preserved. 10/10 recommend!
