Gibbston Valley Winery
The first stop of the day is at the iconic Gibbston Valley Winery. Gibbston Valley is one of the region's founding wineries and it's here that we will join a guided tour through New Zealand's largest underground wine cave and enjoy tastings of some of their world-famous wines.
Kinross is our second stop and a fantastic location to try a range of different wines across multiple labels. Along with producing their own wines, their cellar door host will also showcase wines from smaller producers and share their incredible stories of how they came to be. After your wine tasting, we allow extra time to enjoy lunch. Kinross has a range of delicious dishes on its menu, including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and mains. This is ordered and paid directly on the day, giving you the flexibility to order what you would like based on your taste and budget.

A small group wine tour and lunch worth a wine lover's time. Four wineries to try New Zealand wines topped by a delicious lunch...fungi pizza with truffles for me. Edita, our guide and driver, was knowledgeable and helpful...making the entire experience more enjoyable.

This was a great experience! All the wineries were amazing with tastings at each. Everyone was so knowledgeable and the wineries were beautiful! It was also really nice to not have to worry about driving the winding roads and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Our guide, Nicole, was so sweet and helpful with giving us tips about the area, offering to take photos and even speaking with the wineries to accommodate preferences (my mom only drinks white wine). Would definitely book again and highly recommend!

We had a great day, touring the four wineries with our fabulous guide Do. She was a wealth of information, full of energy, and just generally fun to be around. She very quickly made all of us feel like a cohesive group. My favorite winery was the last one… AYRBURN. The grounds are spectacular and the wine was good. The wineries were all relatively close to Queenstown so there’s not much long travel. If I was coming back to Queenstown again, I would definitely pick this tour above others.

Allegra was an amiable, knowledgeable, informative and positive host who drove us very competently to four winery destinations. The second venue provided a tasty lunch. We found the first two wine tasting stops very appealing along with the forth experience which offered a delightful garden to enjoy.

We had a brilliant time with a great bunch of people beautifully looked after and guided by Allegra. The only improvement would be to drop the third winery Mt Rosa and spend more time at Ayrburn which had loads of different activities and food and beverage dining and shopping options.

Fantastic tour of Gibbston Valley wineries. 4 great stops - Gibbston Valley, Kinross, Mt. Rosa and Ayrburn. Allegra, our guide, made an amazing day even better. Everything was smooth, the wine and company very good and the overall experience excellent.

Having been on winery visits before this trip was a mixed bag. Gibbston Valley had the experience of the wine cave but the wines were awful probably just a basic tasting experience.Kinross winery was the highlight of the day with every one of the 5 wines we tasted being very good. The wine advisor David clearly had a passion for wines which shone through. We also had a delicious lunch there. Mt Rosa had some decent wines too but at our last stop in Ayrburn the wines were just set down in front of us with tasting notes & no interaction with staff there. Do our driver did give useful information about the area & viticulture & was very accommodating dropping people off wherever they wanted on the way home.

Fantastic trip for those time poor and wanting to experience some of the best South Island wines NZ has to offer. Our guide Katy was fantastic, kept the trip running like clockwork and had a great medley of tunes to make the drive even more enjoyable. Pick up and drop off in the Mercedes minivan was comfortable and seamless, and we managed to fit in a lot in the one day. Met some lovely people as well which was icing on the cake. Highly recommended!
