You'll be able to understand the importance of the Toltec trade and cultural presence in the area, why and how we know about them, the work of the archeologist in the site, the presence and importance of the pyramid and the hacienda that owned it during the colonial times, and what happened to them during the 19 and 20th centuries.

Armando was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable, well-prepared, patient and kind. I learned so much about Mexico’s history in the process. I made plans to take another tour with him at a different location. I totally recommend him and this tour to the pyramid in El Pueblito, Queretaro.

Armando was an excellent tour guide. My husband and I asked so many questions and he was great about answering everything. His English is excellent so, if you are visiting from the US, Canada, Australia, or the UK you will be in great hands. If we were staying longer we would have signed up for his historic Queretero tour. Very knowledgeable.

What a fantastic tour! I learned so much about the site and the ancient people who built it and occupied the area. Armando is a fantastic guide, one of the best I've ever had. The site is surrounded by a little park artistically landscaped with natural vegetation from the area, with plants labelled as in a botanical garden. You can enjoy imagining what the area was like in ancient times while also learning a little about the natural flora. There is also a wonderful little museum attached on the grounds. If you are interested in archeology, history, anthropology as it relates to this area, I cannot recommend this tour enough

Talking about the site and going through the museum with Armando before walking up to the pyramid added so much flavor to what you will see and provides context with the more famous sites within Mexico.

  • Armando was fantastico!

Armando was super knowledgeable and shared historical significance of ancient civilizations and how they all influenced each other in great detail! Highly recommended over simply walking the site without his guidance.
