This tour starts at the KP Hole boat ramp just before sunset. We try to begin the paddle 10-15 minutes before the sun sets so we can watch the gorgeous sky as the dark begins. Once the sun gets low enough in the sky, we will turn on our glow lights allowing us to see everything below the water. We will explore a crystal clear creek with our LED lights allowing us to see everything during our paddle. After visiting the creek, we will head back downstream and allow the river's current to take us back to the boat ramp.

ALL KAYAKS ARE TANDEM and have a total maximum weight capacity of 425lbs, no more than 250lbs per seat. WEIGHT LIMITS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED for the safety of guests and equipment.
Weight restrictions strictly enforced for guest safety and equipment integrity.
Guests should be aware of Florida's heat; bring sufficient water and sun protection.
Individuals with blood sugar issues should carry appropriate snacks or glucose supplements.
All participants must have the physical ability to paddle for a minimum of 2 hours.
Keep hydrated throughout the tour; drink water regularly.
What To Expect
Rainbow River
Our exciting and knowledgable guide will meet you in the parking lot before the tour. They will direct you down to the boat ramp where the equipment will be staged and ready to go. Before hitting the water, your guide will go over safety and the route of the paddle. We will begin the paddle just before sunset and will watch the sun go down on the water. Once the sun is gone, we will turn on our glow lights to guide us through the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow River!

5.00Great tour! Highly recommend. Josh is an amazing guide with a great deal of knowledge about the local wild life and vegetation. Getting out of the Kayak and being able to walk up the creek was an incredible highlight not to mention that the kayaks are clear and come equipped with LEDs!!! Will do it again soon!

5.00Josh was great! He left us know when and where to meet him before the event and the tour itself was so fun! He was very thorough with the history of the river/spring. We crashed a couple times(lol) but Josh never mined to get us right back in track. He even offered to take pictures :) Great experience

5.00This trip is one of the coolest night kayak tours you could do! We were surprised to learn that there are not manatees on the Rainbow River, nor many alligators, but not seeing that wildlife didn’t take away from the tour at all. We saw a bald eagle as soon as we started before the sun went down and then lots of fish, birds, a turtle, and a snake. Turning the lights on the kayak once the sun goes down gives a really cool and unique view of the spring and river. The guide, Josh, was personable, informative, and overall great. He also did a great job of taking pictures and videos of all on the tour so you have more than just selfies to look back on. The kayaks are comfortable, 100% clear, and designed in a way that resulted in a pretty dry trip (unless you decide to get out yourself). We had been wanting to do this for quite some time and were not at all disappointed. It was worth the wait! Definitely gives a more one of a kind view/experience on a kayak trip. Don’t hesitate in booking!

5.00This was a great tour starting near sunset with Josh, in a small group given the season. We first paddled up to take in the sunset which was spectacular, and saw a half dozen bird species and heard frogs. After sun set Josh took us to a smaller spring Fed creek where due to the shallowness we got out to explore. The pure white sand creek bottom lit up by the kayak lights was lovely. (Being in the creek water itself can be a little spooky but you can also wait for the remainder of the group at the mouth if you do not want to get in.) On the way back down river, now dark, we could see big bass fish follow the lights of our kayaks, and a beautiful starry sky. Heard an owl. Josh was very nice and personable, happy to answer questions and knew a lot about the many animals we heard and saw. I have been on the Rainbow River at least a dozen times but have never seen it like this. Really made you appreciate the full scope of the ecosystem and its diversity.

5.00One of the best family experiences we have had. The Sunset Glo Kayak Tour was amazing! Josh was our guide and did a fantastic job. He was able to put our tour together pretty last minute. Equipment was top notch. We will definitely being doing another tour with Josh and Ecoventure Tours!
Infinite stars, Once in a lifetime experience

5.00Let me just start by saying if I could give infinite stars I would. Me and my boyfriend had the most incredible experience with Josh and it was certainly once in a lifetime. We were the only ones in this tour and he ended up taking us all the way to the national park from the launch site (Approx 4 hr), Where we got to see much more than what we expected. The wildlife was a joy to see (river otters, bald eagle, turtles, etc) and of course the water was gorgeous at all points. Josh kept us informed on what we were looking at or hearing at all times and was overall extremely knowledgeable in his craft. Along with this throughout our whole journey we made great conversations, adding even more fun to our unexpected journey. 100 million times better than your average tour and guide, and so grateful for josh and the experience he provided us. It was unforgettable and felt as if we had been transported to another world. Don’t even think just book. We will certainly be back!!! (P.s. Josh is also a great picture taker and provider!)
