Wonderful tour, knowledgeable guide. Real focus on architecture but also the colorful figures in NC political history. Would highly recommend!

Andrew was knowledgeable and interesting! He clearly had taken a lot of time to research and refine his talking points. He was friendly and encouraged questions. It’s a bit more than on hour but that depends on walking speed and questions.

The tour was incredibly informative and our tour guide was great and super knowledgeable. The tour was a lot of fun for me, my wife and our house guests from up north.

Andrew the tour guide was one of the best you met. He could answer any question be it on Raleigh/North Carolina past or the world's present. There was mot much walking involved, the pace was good and information given to us was very interesting and articulated very well. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to understand this beautiful city's heart better.

A MUST DO! I have lived in NC for decades and was looking for something local to do and this was suggested. BEST TOUR EVER! Our guide was in time, energetic and knew so much! Details, history and insite as well as some stories that you don’t get from a website. Whether you are visiting or a local, take this tour!

Never having spent time in Raleigh, I thought this would be a great way to get a first hand look at this city. I learned about how and why the city became the capital of NC, where much of the architecture originated, what many of the older buildings "had been" in their heyday and the history and genesis of the Capital Building. We heard interesting stories of some of the more "colorful" politicians of yesteryear as well as about a very famous politician embezzler and the legacy and buildings his family left within the downtown area. The story of the construction of the Governors Mansion was especially interesting. Andrew, our leader, is very knowledgeable and clearly loves his city.

This way exceeded our expectations. History through stories is one of the best ways to learn and Andrew excels at this. The end of the tour left us wanting to learn more about the history of this very interesting southern city.

Andrew was an awesome guide. Full of knowledge and a superb story teller. We wish it had lasted longer, but he packed in a lot in a little over an hour.
