Really fun. Easy recipes. Great food. I would actually choose this activity over the local lunch spots that were around my hotel. This was worth the walk in the rain.

I booked this cooking class last minute at my teenage son’s request, and we arrived to find it was just us! I had expected a group, but they told me upon arrival that morning sessions are private. We had 4 staff to just us 2 (2 instructors and 2 helpers). Everyone was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable; and the instructors’ English was impressive and very understandable. When they discovered it was my birthday, they gifted us two aprons, which was so kind and unexpected. I believe I paid approximately $180 USD, which was beyond worth it. I cannot get a single pass to a group cooking class for 1 for that in my small nowhere-town, let alone an experience in Japan cooking authentic food with native chefs.
