Founder Led Tour . Experience the home of Maharani Gin and Ireland's only Absinthe, Rebel City Distillery, Cork city’s first distillery in 50 years. Just a 15 minute walk from the city centre. Established in 2020, Rebel City is a craft distillery breathing new life into Cork’s historic docklands. Situated in the old Ford Car Factory, a Cork Landmark that has lain dormant for decades, the distillery draws on the innovations of the past to inspire the creations of the future. A fusion of two creative cultures. Maharani Gin, our first release, celebrates our founder’s roots, Cork, Ireland and Kerala, India where husband and wife team, Robert and Bhagya, come from. Maharani means queen and is a tribute to strong women everywhere and a tribute to women’s organic farming co-operative in Kerala, India where botanicals are sourced from . We are also makers of Ireland's only Absinthe .

First distillery in Cork city in 50 years and the only distillery in heart of Cork city .Set in the repurposed Ford Car Factory, a Cork Landmark that has lain dormant for decades, the distillery draws on the innovations of the past to inspire the creations of the future. With a Gin and Tonic in hand, enjoy a guided tour of the Rebel City boutique craft distillery. 5.00This was a wonderful experience! The Maharina Gin was fabulous as was the vodka and the abstinseth!!! The host/owner was delightful. She made the tasting fun, informative and on top of that was warm and personal!!! This local distillery is unique located in an old ford car plant with a very fun atmosphere blending Irish and Indian cultures. Just do it!
Must go, 15 mins walk from city, great tasting of Gin, Vodka and Absinthe. Fab host.

5.00Absolutely fabulous. A great way to spend 1hr45mins. Bagia was a great host. Fun, happy and so enthusiastic about her and her husband Robert's, new business in distilling, Maharani Gin, Maharani citrus vodka and Absinthe. You are welcomed with a choice of drink above. Then the backstory begins of how Robert and Bagia met, got married and started a new project called Rebel Distillery. The little bar area where it starts is so welcoming. On a wet day, blankets and heaters were given. On a hot day, the huge wall of doors are thrown open to enjoy the weather. The tour continues into the industrial area where the 'alchemy' happens. Then back into the bar area to finish up. I would encourage everyone to purchase a bottle or merchandise so businesses like Rebel Distillery can grow. The spirits are absolutely gorgeous. The gin is special as there is a hint of India that can be tasted. It's totally different to any other gin I've tasted. And the Absinthe?? Just brilliant with some ginger ale. Walk from Cork city (e.g bus station) about 15 mins. There is parking outside, but why drive? When you can't taste their wares! 28 euros well spent.

5.00On a very miserable, grey February afternoon we visited Rebel Distillery. Getting out of the rain was a plus, but ih my, what awaited us inside was not just a tour of the Rebel City distillery but a brief walk through history, old & modern. One of the owners, Bhagya, is a wonderful host, knowledgeable, informative, affable and welcoming. We tasted their Maharini Gin & MahariniVodka & also their new Absinth, all very lovely. Theirs is a cracking story & wonderfully crafted products, we can only wish them the very best and urge you to do the tour. No need to wait for a rainy afternoon :-)

5.00I visited with a group of friends. I wasnt sure what to expect approaching from outside, but wow, what a warm welcome and fantastic experience when we got inside! Bhagya was a wonderful host and great story teller. I loved hearing about how they started up and the ethos behind the brand. The gin, vodka and Absinthe were delicious. The Absinthe in particular was unexpectedly tasty! I would highly recommend, it a great group activity and theres a wonderful food place just along the road too.
