Enjoy the real West! Ride for 90-minutes on horseback with a guide along trails like the ones cowboys rode a hundred years ago. Set your eyes on the dramatic and colorful walls of Red Rock Canyon, as well as deep gorges from high atop a desert mountain. Stop as the sun begins its daily descent, and you'll see the lights of the Las Vegas Valley far below. Ride starts about 2 hours before sunset and changes throughout the year. Then, it's back to camp beneath the moon and stars, guided by the light of the campfire, for a freshly prepared BBQ Dinner with your choice of a 16 oz. New York Strip Steak (cooked to your preference), grilled chicken, grilled salmon or vegetarian (Let us know in Special Requirements what you would like to eat). Your dinner will be served with crisp green salad with dressing, baked beans, cowboy potatoes , corn on the cob, beverages (soft drinks and water) and Cowboy S'mores for dessert! Cowboy S'mores are marshmallows sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies. They taste best when served at night around the campfire.

Great experience, smooth collection & drop off. Horses were clearly well cared for The ride itself was good, but for beginners, no cantering or galloping Food was excellent Fire and smores was fun Bring layers as it is cold once the sun is down

You'll probably enjoy yourself if you've never been on a horse, but an experienced rider, I didn't like this. I did the sunset ride. Many people were picked up at various locations that, for most of us, were not our hotels but other hotels on the strip (still, it went ok and the driver was very friendly and nice). We got to the ranch and were given instructions on how the ride would go, and that's where things started sounding very "assembly line"-like and it started to become less enjoyable for me. We were told to form a line, all standing side by side (and there must have been about 30 of us!), and then one of the people at the ranch (most of whom were pleasant enough but very busy given how many of us were there) came to each of us and told us who we'd be riding - without asking *anything* about our previous experience on horses. We then got on (at least they made sure our stirrups were the right length), the tour started in a bit of a chaotic way where the horses just went on autopilot forming a funnel of sort and then we randomly formed a line where each horse's face was pretty much touching the following horse's back. Then the ride started, we stopped not long after where we were placed in a line side by side again, the people at the ranch took photos of us just sitting on our respective horses (if we were lucky to get one, but more on that later) and it all felt very mechanical and impersonal. It was mostly a way to position us in a better order for the ride (which at least I appreciated). Then the ride took place, and while the scenery was beautiful, it all felt very mechanical and impersonal. There are some things to like here - mainly, the scenery, the fact that the horses all appear healthy and well-fed, and the dinner was also very tasty. The person who cooked it also seemed genuinely friendly (he didn't come on the ride and was just taking orders and making the food). Several people on my ride, who had never been on a horse before, enjoyed it, and considering they didn't really have to do much since most of the horses do everything themselves and the pace is quite slow, I can see why. But there were also quite a lot of things I didn't like. Mainly: - I was not given a horse but a mule. The girl behind me was given quite a lively horse and struggling with it, as she had never ridden before: I would have loved that horse and she would have been perfect for my (slower) mule. I have nothing against mules: they are very intelligent and gorgeous creatures. But I paid $199 (!) for a "horseback ride" and that was not delivered. On top of this, I was told a few times that my mule could have gone faster (we were supposed to not leave gaps between us and the horse in front of us) while I really did feel that that was the fastest my mule could go, so I felt bad for insisting, especially when she was being so well behaved. This was not done in bad faith: I got the impression that not all of the people who took us on the ride were very experienced. - Given that we each paid $199 and there were so many of us, I can imagine the ranch must have made some money out of this. Yet, there were signs everywhere reminding us to "tip our guides and pet our horse" (the ironic thing was that we had no time to pet the horse, as the moment we got off, we were made to leave toward the dinner area), and on top of that, one of the people at the ranch reminded us multiple times that the wranglers were doing such a hard job moving these horses from the stables to the meeting place, and getting them all ready for the ride, explicitly asking us for tips (I'm sure it's a hard job - I, for one, would have loved to help get my mule ready for the ride, having done that with my own horses many many times in the past - but with how much we paid and how many of us there were, I would at least hope they're being paid handsomely for that job). When that didn't work, that same worker started showing us drawings of horses she had made on the back of the guest list earlier that day and telling us we could buy them if we wanted to, for whatever offer, which would be considered a tip. I never for one minute was able to forget that, to them, we were basically a source of money and not someone whose experience with their animals they cared very much about. - As someone who has ridden for 10+ years, I know that it's good practice to loosen the girth immediately after a ride to make the animal more comfortable before the saddle is taken off later on. When I got off the mule, I didn't do anything as the mule wasn't mine, but when one of the people at the ranch came to me, I asked (wanting to help, since it was all so busy and I was hoping to spend some time with my mule) "should I loosen the girth?", and she sounded very angry when she said "YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING," which felt like a disproportionate and rude reaction. Overall, the most pleasant interaction I had on this tour was with an Australian Shepherd named Dino who was at the ranch - since I wasn't really allowed to interact with *any* horses (I didn't even ride one), I didn't get any time in which I could properly interact with my mule, and though most of the people at the ranch were pleasant, we were pretty much treated as a source of cash. I wouldn't recommend this ride: it's not worth the price.

A little rain and wind made for uncomfortable conditions but expected cancellation when thunder occurred early on the ride. Some of us turned back and waited for the others in the dinner barn. There was a precarious broken window in that building, uncovered and unrepaired for some time.

From pick up to drop off this was an amazing trip. We are a family of 4 who have never rode a horse before but the wranglers made sure we had a horse that was ideal for our lack of experience My horse was called traveller and was perfect for a novice like myself. Due to the bad weather we cut our ride short however it was personal choice and some of the group carried on. That didn’t spoil our day though as we went back to the ranch to heat up with some hot chocolate and wait on the rest of the group coming back. When everyone was together again we had a lovely meal (my son said it was the best meal of his whole vegas trip) and smores around the fire. We also met some lovely people which made it even more amazing If you are ever visiting vegas and need some time away from the chaos, this is the perfect experience

I / we absolutely loved every part of this experience! The van picked us up on time and at location by Ceasers (they have a few pick up points) and rode out to beautiful Red Rock. The horses were saddled up and waiting , covered area and obviously very well taken care of. The chefs were waiting to verify our selected meals and to introduce themselves. We had a safety meet with the wranglers and then paired with our friendly horses or mules. They were all very sure footed and had moved at a nice stroll through the paths as we went single file along the trail. Had some picture moments and then returned to the main area where we had our most fabulous meal!! Steaks and sides served hot and delicious!!! They do have other protein options but most went with ribeye or salmon. Had a marshmallow roast after dinner and then loaded up in our van to return to the hotel. Absolutely recommend to anyone to do this adventure!

Such a special experience, so glad we booked. I can’t stress enough how professional the team was and how well they looked after us. They made everyone feel so welcome and the food was great too - the chef sure knows his way around a steak! Would come back and do this experience again.

The tour was a lot of fun. The horses were gentle and the path was fun as it went through a canyon area. We did the dinner tour and my steak was perfect with large portions. It was fun to sit around the camp fire and roast marshmallows at the end. I highly recommend.
