Embark on an unforgettable afternoon tour of the Champagne region, starting in Reims at 2:00 pm, right in front of the Reims Centre train station's tourist office (address: Cour de la Gare, 51100 Reims).
This tour will take you to the charming village of Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne, where you’ll explore its rich history and visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried.
Then, visit two family-run Champagne producers, where you’ll learn about the traditional methods of Champagne production. At each winery, you’ll enjoy three tastings of their signature Champagnes, providing you with a comprehensive and immersive experience.
By the end of the day, you’ll have tasted a total of six distinct Champagnes and gained a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind this iconic beverage.
The tour will conclude at 6:30 pm, returning you to the starting point at the Reims Centre train station’s tourist office.

5.00This was a fabulous tour. Our guide, Suzanne, was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. Despite some rain we had a lovely time looking at the countryside. Of the 2 family businesses we visited the end product was better at the second (Michel Tizier) but both were great. We were surprised how much we learned about the making of champagne. We would thoroughly recommend this tour and Suzanne.

2.00I scheduled one tour on 1/19/2025. The tour company said I had 2 tours under my name. The tour company said they could not do anything about the second tour and that I would have to contact Viator. I spoke to a representative of Viator who said that I only had one tour scheduled and it was the one I scheduled on 1/19/2025. Consequently I was charged for 2 tours. I paid for the tour I scheduled on 1/19/2025 on 5/12/2025, I was charged for the second tour that I did not schedule, nor could I cancel the second tour on Viator be cause it did not show up on my Viator app. The cost of the second tour was $261.00. I will do my best to stop the second payment that was charged to my credit card on 5/14/2025.

5.00Lots of driving to reach the vineyards but there are many beautiful views along the way. Try to get a seat by a window for making photos. Visits to the cellars are very interesting. We learned a lot about the complex art of champagne making. The champagne tasting was good as well - all six generous samples were delicious!
