Tour Overview
Uncover one of Bosnia’s most haunting stories on this full-day Srebrenica Tour, where history meets human resilience. In Eastern Bosnia, Srebrenica’s serene landscapes conceal the devastating legacy of the genocide that unfolded in July 1995—a tragedy that shocked the world.
During this journey, you’ll visit the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Complex in Potočari, a solemn site honoring the lives of over 8,000 victims. Walk through history as you explore the UN base, now the powerful Gallery of Genocide, where personal accounts and preserved artifacts reveal raw truths of that fateful time.
This isn’t just a tour; it’s an emotional connection to the past. Through heartfelt stories and immersive moments, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the scars left by the Bosnian war and the enduring importance of remembrance. It’s an experience that will stay with you long after it ends.

We have gone to Srebrenica for study reasons, and we hired the company for the simple fact that going during the day is difficult due to the availability of public transport and the time it takes. We had a guide called Emina Koso Sarajcic (I think is spelled this way). The truth is that his knowledge on the subject was an immense surprise, given that we are history teachers, and we really did not expect so much capacity and wisdom about the massacre, the monuments, and the small and interesting stories that she gave us from the moment we got into the car. It was a very pleasant trip, and we were surprised by her ability to communicate complicated things in a simple and appropriate way. Furthermore, his commitment and attention to the needs of the group was spectacular. I don't usually do reviews on guides, but in this case, it is an obligation because of how much we learned and how comfortable we were. I highly recommend a guide of such quality.

What a great day! Our tour guide, Saffett, totally made the difference between a good day and a fantastic day. My friend and I have spent our day with an artistically and intellectually talented fellow, great driver, laid back, awesome local knowledge, best music selection (and not too bad in the looks department). I wish we could take him home to Australia (yeah ok, the new wife can come 🙄). And Insider Tours: we had booked and the tour was confirmed. When we arrived at the Insiders Tours office, they had no record of our booking. The didn’t disregard us. They fixed the problem and paid for us to have (good) coffee across the road while Saffett changed his life around to make this tour happen. That is EXCELLENT service and this company truly wants to give good service. (They are also very lucky to be able to use Saffett as a tour guide). Bernadette - Perth, Australia

Emina Koso gave a really detailed explanation of what happened there which is really helpful for us to understand. It was hard to visit Srebrenica, face with the genocide and learn more about how innocent Bosnian people suffer. She was very caring ang helpful to us to deal with our emotions. She helped with our many questions. Everyone should definitely visit Srebrenica at least once in their lives, this truth needs to be learnt and genocide in Srebrenica must not be forgetten. And we highly recommend this tour should be done with Emina. Thanks for everything

A memorable day to mark an event that I remember from afar, but never really understood. The media at the time called it the worst massacre on European soil since WWII. Even now, having talked to survivors of the Srebrenica genocide during my visit, just children at the time, it is still hard to take on board what happened during those fateful days of July 1995. Nor indeed why. Today, it seems to me, Bosnia and Herzegovina are moving on towards a challenging, yet brighter, new era among the nations of Europe. This tour amply demonstrated the complications and perils of Balkan history after the collapse of Yugoslavia, coupled with the hope that lessons will be finally learnt. A haunting day out, led by a marvellously knowledgeable guide.
