What To Expect
After pickup from your Hervey Bay hotel, travel to Great Sandy Straits Marina in Hervey Bay to begin your cruise to Fraser Island. Enjoy morning tea on board while cruising across the ocean, past small uninhabited islands and along the coast of picturesque Fraser Island. Keep a lookout for dolphins, turtles and dugongs swimming nearby, and seabirds flying overhead. Arrive on Fraser Island without getting your feet wet, thanks to your boat's amphibious watercraft designed to be driven onto the beach. Your Fraser Island tour reveals the wild and still untouched side to the island on a visit to Wathumba creek. Go kayaking, swimming, snorkeling with the turtles in the crystal-clear waters, relax on the sand or stretch your legs on a relaxed bushwalk. Return to the boat for a delicious buffet lunch. Relax on-board as you cruise to the picturesque Awinya or Bowarrady Creek. Enjoy the natural surrounds while paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or enjoying other free water sports available. Head back to the marina in comfort -- enjoy the view from the boat's deck or chat to the crew while you enjoy the fruit and antipasto platters served for afternoon tea. Snacks, drinks and souvenirs are available to purchase during your return cruise to Hervey Bay.

5.00Awesome trip, we had 3 stops on the boat and were transferred 3 times for different activities, walking, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling. And tubing. The staff was very efficient moving all the gear and guests to each stop. They served delicious morning and afternoon snacks as well as a great lunch. So much fun! Would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00This full-day tour with Tasman Venture was another highlight for us on our trip to Australia. You can’t get to know K‘gari better. Especially the kayaking tours through the streams on the island were very impressive. Our guide Rhyce shared his enthusiasm for this unique vegetation with us and explained so many exciting things to us. With him we also let ourselves drift through a stream with current on swimming noodles, which we probably never would have done on our own. It was a fantastic adventure tour where we learned a lot (beautiful) things. The organization was perfect and the whole crew is very friendly.

5.00Easily the best tour we took in Hervey Bay (and we did them all!). Our on-board team were amazing -especially our guide Marlo who was bubbly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time paddling a kayak up into one of the creeks, snorkelling and taking an exhilarating ride on the tube. Everything was well organised but relaxed and flowed smoothly. Lunch was excellent with snacks provided in addition through the day. On the way back, we had the added treat of whale watching which included a number of females with their young – one pair took an interest in us and came up close!
Amazing trip, perfect location, supportive staff. I would recommend this to anyone and we would definitely do it again.

5.00We had an amazing day from the time we got on board until the time we got off. The crew was very careful and caring in managing the food for my coeliac daughter. The activities during both stops were wonderful but one of the highlights was seeing so many whales and other marine life in their natural environment. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

5.00One of the best day tours we've done. Everything was well organised, well paced, loved seeing the more secluded parts of the island. It really is as beautiful as it looks in the photos! Super friendly and thoughtful staff who adapted activities to be suitable for my elderly father and helped him celebrate a very memorable birthday. Thank you!
