Step beyond the cobblestone charm and into the shadowy depths of Salem’s past on this adults-only ghost tour. Requiem for Salem isn’t just spooky—it’s steeped in the grim truths and haunted echoes of a city forever marked by fear, hysteria, and injustice.
Designed for guests 16 and up, this tour tackles the darker side of Salem’s history, with mature stories, eerie locations, and a candid look at the paranoia that fueled the Witch Trials and the restless spirits they left behind. From cursed corners to historic haunts, we’ll visit the places where power, superstition, and tragedy collided.
With no kid-friendly filters, you’ll hear raw, unflinching tales of the trials, executions, and eerie aftermath that still lingers in Salem’s soil. All delivered by expert guides who blend historical depth with a healthy dose of haunted fun.

Our tour guide John was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Salem and provided us with so much information I don’t think we would have learned anywhere else on our trip. We were very impressed and felt welcomed on the tour. John definitely exceeded our expectations for a ghost tour of Salem-you will not be disappointed!

Lots of walking as expected over uneven surfaces and wet leaves in the dark. Tripping hazard. Guide advised everyone of this. Be cautious in choosing this tour if you have any mobility concerns. Several stops with apparition potential. Lots of cool background and stories.

Horrible tour, people smoking and vaping in the group causing us to step so Far back we couldn’t hear anything, except one of the hundreds of other groups doing tours also, or all traffic noise and cars honking. The host couldn’t stay focused and kept going all over the place with subjects There was nothing exciting about the tour nor was it for adults only. Anyone could attend regardless to want the posting states

Very Disappointing Experience — Misleading Advertising and Poor Customer Service I do not recommend this tour. I purchased tickets for a group of 12 based on the amazing reviews and the description stating it was an adults-only (16+) experience that would “dive deep into disturbing topics including violence, betrayal, and human suffering, with no filters.” Unfortunately, this was not at all what we received. Our tour guide was a kind and knowledgeable person, but they seemed more suited for a general history tour rather than a grim or haunting one. We began with 32 people at the cemetery, where we stayed for about 25 minutes. Then we moved only a few steps down the street to sit on stairs for another 15 minutes, discussing Nathaniel Hawthorne, two drownings, and the Royal Navy. From there, we walked only a short distance and continued with more history — at which point, the guide lost the attention of our entire group of 12 (and even another group of 5). We decided to leave the tour since it was nothing like what had been advertised. The next day, I contacted Ghost City Tours to explain the situation. I was told that since we did not stay for the entire tour, we would not be reimbursed. I explained everything again, and the representative said the issue would be escalated and I would hear back in a few days. Three days passed with no response. I called again — no one was available, and I left a message with no callback. I called again the following day, and again on Friday. When I finally reached customer service, I was told management had declined our request. I asked why no one had notified me, and the representative had no answer. I requested to escalate the issue and was connected with a supervisor, Kate, who said management does not take calls but promised to bring it to their attention. I even asked for just half of the cost back since we stayed for 45 minutes, but instead the company only offered rain checks for another tour — which I declined. Overall, this company is poorly run, with little regard for customer satisfaction or feedback. I’m not looking for anyone to lose their job — but when a company advertises one thing and delivers another, it’s false advertising and taking advantage of customers. Again, I strongly do not recommend this tour.

Kevin was a terrific tour guide! He covered so much more of the history of Salem than just the witch trials. While it would’ve been nice to actually go into some of the sites, Kevin’s delivery of the stories from a local’s point of view was very engaging.

Most of the tours all ran together so tour guides were talking over one another the whole time as groups tried to stay away from one another. A lot of walking around the block of the cemetery and not much to see. Hard to hear our guide. We left halfway through
