Rhine Falls
Reach the first highlight of this afternoon at splendid medieval Castle Laufen – the mighty Rhine Falls! Enjoy about one hour leisure time at Europe's biggest waterfalls and one of Switzerland's major tourist attractions! Delight unique views from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700'000 liters of water per second plunge across a width of 150 meters into the basin below. The Belvedere panoramic trail brings you to the viewing platform right above the falls where you feel the spindrift of the rumbling waters. Take an optional boat ride (summer only, additional costs) close to the falls. Enjoy an hour here to see an exhibition, admire panoramic views from the glass elevator, or walk to the viewpoints above and around the falls to thrill at their roar and power. The site also has a playground, shops, and restaurants. Perhaps opt for a boat ride (subject to availability and not included in price) to experience the crashing cascades close up.

Guide was a little quietly spoken and monotone. Book the boat ride (do this when you're onboard the bus to Rheinfall). Places visited and times to destination were perfect!

Very enjoyable half - day trip to Rhine Falls and then onto a lovely medieval town Stein am Rein. Great tour guide Elizabeth. Option to take a 15 minute boat ride at the falls was offered - it was fun!! It might have been nice to spend a little more time in Stein am Rhine -many restaurants and cafes , and interesting shops too We had a little over an hour which still permitted a quick walk with photo opportunities and a visit to the local bakery for a snack . I particularly enjoyed the waterfront area

It was so nice to see the falls from the boat and feel the mist of water while hearing the roar of the falls in front of you. The walk down to the boat was beautiful and the hike back up was split up by several lookout spots for rest if needed. The Stein Am Rhine was a fabulous experience. This medieval town is like looking into the past with its beautiful buildings.

Fabulous half day out, we landed in Zurich early in morning and picked up this tour in the afternoon. Rolf was really informative guide and engaging especially going around the city areas. We opted not to do the boat tour and in the time we had we went around to the different viewing platforms and it was so worth it, the views of the falls are excellent even if you decide not to take the boat.

Nice Tour, the lady was a Tour Guide. I forget her name, older I believe German. She tried to educate us as much as possible and she stayed with us and was an actual Tour Guide.
