Join us with friends and family to journey through the winding Royal Gorge, along the Arkansas River, deep within Colorado's grandest canyon. Enjoy your drinks at your table or on an open-air car, where you can soak in the breathtaking scenery, and a closer connection to nature. Choose one of the following classes of service:
Vista Dome: Offers unparalleled views of the Royal Gorge from glass-topped dome cars.
Deluxe Class: Offers elegant seating and an adjoining table for absolute comfort, with expansive windows providing breathtaking views of Colorado’s Royal Gorge.
Coach Class: Features comfortable seating (no tables), with large windows to take in the spectacular views of the Royal Gorge.

Coach and Deluxe Dining Cars are wheelchair accessible. Vista Dome is not wheelchair accessible.
Infants less than 2 years old may sit on laps. Children 2 - 12 require a children's ticket. Note, some journeys only offer one type of ticket for all passengers 2 and older.
Must be able to climb 10 steps without assistance

What To Expect
Arkansas River
The Royal Gorge Route Railroad travels along side the rushing Arkansas River, where you may catch a glimpse of white water rafters navigating the winding rapids.
Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
For a stunning view 1,000 feet below the highest suspension bridge in America, take a ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. From here, you'll see this modern marvel during the day while enjoying the ride from the train's open-air car.

5.00Purchased this experience for our family trip which included two children, two teens, and six adults. The entire family was so impressed with the Royal Gorge train ride. Service was great, beautiful scenery, staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this experience to everyone.

Sharing a table in a small/tight space “vista dome”

3.00View from the dome wasn’t what I expected! Very small space and must I add a very important part they left out, you’ll be sharing a table with other passengers! Yess! You’re paying 160 plus a ticket to share a table inside of the vista dome with other passengers!! My husband went to talk to a manager after he saw how upset I was about sharing a table with others and we were moved into the deluxe cabin with a table all to ourselves!

3.00We were very disappointed there was no narration in our train car. The audio was not working. We asked the attendant a few questions and she was kind to answer, but she was very busy attending to food and drinks. We should have received a heads up about the lack of audio; we were chugging along with no information about our surroundings.

4.00It was a relaxing and beautiful experience. Just thought there would be more interaction from the team and information as we rode around. We had to learn things from the passengers that lived in the area and already know the history of the sites.
