LOCALLY ROOTED: We've operated from Rincón shore locations for 13 years — Our guides know these reefs, these currents, and these conditions the way a local knows their neighborhood. That knowledge is on every dive
ECO-FIRST BY DESIGN: Shore-entry only. No boat exhaust, no anchor damage, no mass-market turnovers. We run small groups, follow strict reef protection protocols, and brief every diver on the marine life and conservation practices specific to each site. You leave knowing more than when you arrived.
GENUINELY SMALL GROUPS: Maximum eight divers per booking — not because we have to, because we choose to. It means your guide is actually with you, watching the reef, not managing a crowd. Every dive is personal.

Check in at the Rincon Diving & Snorkeling for a full site briefing, equipment fitting and checked here. Getting to the entry point A short drive from the dive center to the beach. Guests caravan with the team — we lead, you follow. This keeps it simple and means no one gets lost. In the water Shore entry, guided descent, and a tour shaped by what the reef is doing that day. Your guide reads the conditions and adjusts the route to maximize what you see. Expect a good 45+-minute dive, often longer depending on air consumption and what's out there. Hawksbill turtles are frequent. Eagle rays are seasonal. The reef fish don't take days off. After the dive your guide is available to debrief — ID anything you saw, answer questions about the site, or talk through what conditions will look like later in the week if you're planning another dive. WHO IS THIS FOR: Certified divers of any certification level. You do not need recent dive experience to book, but if you haven't been underwater in over a year, ask us about our refresher option before your tour. Where do I begin… This operation appears heavily focused on upselling and extracting additional fees at nearly every opportunity. Equipment and services that are commonly included in dive packages or training courses at many other dive shops are treated as separate charges here, making the overall experience feel far more transactional than customer-oriented. Communication and administration were consistently disorganized. Incorrect forms and waivers were frequently sent out, creating unnecessary stress and confusion before arrival. In some cases, guests only discovered documentation issues once already on vacation, leaving them scrambling to obtain medical clearances — sometimes during weekends when physicians were unavailable. Despite this recurring issue, no practical alternatives or referrals to local clinics were provided. My greatest concern, however, was safety. There were occasions where conditions were clearly unsuitable for training, yet customers were reassured otherwise. I personally witnessed pressure placed on staff to continue instruction in environments that, in my opinion, did not align with acceptable professional or safety standards. That alone should give prospective divers serious pause. The only reason this review is not even harsher is because the staff themselves are generally courteous, professional, and often left trying to mediate difficult situations between customers and management. As a former employee, I experienced firsthand the pressure to aggressively sell unnecessary products and courses, prioritizing revenue over customer experience. Ultimately, I chose to leave because I could no longer comfortably support business practices that I felt were unfair to customers. Divers invest significant time and money into these experiences and deserve transparency, professionalism, and above all, a genuine commitment to safety.

Went on a two tank shore dive with Madeline. Fun to dive with and did a nice job regarding safety. Shop was very organized.

To say that our snorkeling tour was a highlight of our visit to Rincon would be an understatement! And we had a wonderful time in Rincon with lots of fun and interesting experiences (including seeing the huge waves in Tres Palmas after a big storm!) Swam above a shark, watched a huge tarpon swim by, swam next to turtles, and watched tons of varied fish (not to mention enjoying the varieties of beautiful coral). Spectacular! And Greg, our instructor, was an awesome guide, making a point to personalize the experience and enrich it for each participant. Highly recommend! It will make your time in magical Rincon even more meaningful and memorable.

We dove with Rincón Diving on February 15, 2026 for a shore dive, and it was such a nice experience. Greg was our dive master, and he was honestly great. Very sweet, patient, and attentive the whole time. He made us feel comfortable in the water and checked on us often. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people he’s guiding. Everything felt relaxed, safe, and well organized. We really enjoyed the dive and the overall vibe of the shop. Definitely would dive with them again. Highly recommend!

I cannot remember my guides name but I know he has been diving for 31 years and used to live in Thailand. He was so informational and full of fun stories and facts. The shop is cute with lots of equipment to rent or buy and is right next to the shore dive spots. This was only my sixth dive as a certified diver and he made me feel very safe on this dive. We went out on choppy conditions and I did get sick and wasn't able to do the second dive spot, but my dive instructor was very supportive and helpful. We saw lots of tropical fish, a massive spiny lobster, a (puffed) burrfish and a barracuda! I do recommend this tour to beginner divers and also great practice for strong currents.

I had a great time diving this weekend with Rincon Diving and Snorkeling. On Saturday, I went with Greg, and today Jorge took me. Not currently busy season, I couldn’t believe it was just me and another diver on 3 of the dives and just me on the 4th dive. I was impressed they didn’t have a minimum number of divers to go out. The dive shop was very friendly and I felt comfortable right away. Both Greg and Jorge were great. I’m still smiling at Jorge’s constant energy and enthusiasm! Thanks so much for a great weekend!

Greg and the staff were knowledgeable. Had a great time. Would definitely recommend them. Water clarity was a little off, but still had a great time.

Greg was very nice and helpful! My friend and I enjoyed our dive with him in Puerto Rico. We saw lots of fish, including a barracuda.
