What To Expect
Join us at Rincon Diving & Snorkeling for an exciting snorkeling tour in the world-class Tres Palmas Marine Reserve in Rincon where you can explore the vibrant marine life just beneath the surface! WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: *How to select snorkel equipment for best personal fit *Identification of various local marine life *How to protect the reef *Snorkeling tips WHAT TO EXPECT: *NO BOAT IS REQUIRED to get to the best snorkeling spots. Your guide will take you from the shore straight to the heart of the marine reserve. *Arrive at the dive center at the time stated on their reservation for check-in. *Meet your guide for professional equipment fitting and briefing on the location and local marine life *Follow the guide in your own transportation to the entry point for the tour (5 min +/- from dive center). *Approximately 3 hours total, including 1 hour in the water IDEAL FOR: *Comfortable swimmers (beginner snorkelers welcome) *Fun for the entire family. If children under age 10, please call the dive center for personalized attention with booking. *If the number of participants in your group exceeds the quantity available to book online, Call the Dive Center.

5.00We went sorkeling with our guide Shawn today, she was fabulous. We were all well briefed, they made sure our gear fits us very well before leaving the shop and the gear was much better than the usual stuff. The reef is accessible from shore, which made the experience so seamless. We saw all types of coral, fish (including a huge angel fish) along with a huge turtle and several smaller ones.The big one seemed to hang around our group and just feed at times surfacing close bye. This shop is well worth giving your business to and see if Shawn is available for your guide. Enjoy!

5.00I’ll start by saying that our guide Shawn was FANTASTIC. She was fun but made sure everyone was safe as well. She was so patient and helpful. We had an issue with my daughter’s goggles flooding and she fixed it on the spot in the water! There was a woman in our group that couldn’t swim(why she booked a snorkel trip is beyond me) but anyway Shawn was SO patient with her and ended up having to swim her back to shore. Safety and comfort level was very important to her. I went with my husband and 2 teenaged girls and we had a blast. When we got in the car they both said “that was the coolest thing I’ve ever done. 10/10 book it.

4.00If you have snorkeled before, this is a great tour for you. Be sure to drive to the dive shop since you also must drive to a second location (~10 mins down the road) to get into the water. As someone who has spend a lot of time in the water (Advanced Diver), I had a great time. My wife, who has never snorkeled, struggled because she wasn't comfortable in her gear and didn't know how to figure it out in the open water. There was another gentleman in our group who also seemed to struggle. If you join this tour, take some time at the beginning to practice and make sure you are comfortable in your mask. Ask your guide to walk you through it until you're there, otherwise you may be uncomfortable when you're in the open water.

5.00We snorkeled from the shore, swimming out to a very nearby rocky area/reef. Lots of soft coral, hard coral seems to have taken a beating from run-off. Several people saw sea turtles and a baby octopus, many other small and colorful fish. Knowledgeable guide, good equipment.
