  A great tour guide who makes the tour fun. He gives the right amount of historical context but adds some lesser known facts to make the story more interesting. A great personality who is easy to talk to. He is a native Brazilian but speaks perfect English (as well as very good Spanish and Italian). I would recommend him to anyone who wants to explore the city with a relaxed, engaged guide.

  Marcelo's tours are the perfect way to get to know Rio de Janeiro. I chose two tours, starting with an evening nightlife tour, and the next day, a tour to Christ the Redeemer, Santa Teresa, Lapa/Selaron steps, and Centro. Marcelo took the time to learn my interests and create an itinerary that best suited me. As he got to know me, he even changed our itinerary to better suit my tastes. His knowledge of the history and culture helped to make the tours come alive. And, the places were all amazing - both the landmarks, the local spots, and the choices for meals and snacks. Many places you wouldn't find on your own as a tourise. He will get you into the landmarks the quickest way possible. Knows the secret parking places, so you're only steps away. And, chooses the best places for your pics. He's funny, smart, punctual, informational, thoughtful and such a gentleman, he even open the doors for you. Whether your first or tenth time in Rio, book a tour with Marcelo. You will be so happy you did!

  We traveled from Miami. Our guide was marcelo a super intelligent person and with good humor, it was two days doing the main activities in Rio.. we traveled in a time of rain and cloudy skies, but only when the Christ was clear we went to visit it that is the good thing of a private tour.. that you can change the route without any problem..

  Marcelo was super friendly and knowledgeable about the places we visited. He helped skip all the lines in an efficient way and knew all the best photo positions with f.e. the statue of Christ the Redeemer. We had lunch in a great restaurant in Santa Teresa. Highly recommended.

  Marcelo was such a great tour guide. An entertaining and knowledgeable friendly guy! He took us to Christ the redeemer, and we got to skip the chaos and queues. He took great photos for us the entire day. Then he took us to Santa Maria where he showed us all the really cool ships and restaurants, lunch was fantastic, coffee and acie was awesome too. Finally we ended at the colourful steps where he gave explanations on the history and meaning of everything . I highly recommend this tour

  We had a great day of adventure with Marcello who showed us around Rio. He's a wonderful guide and quickly just became one of the pack all while filling us in on some of the details of this historic city. I'd highly recommend a tour with him.

  I booked a private tour in Rio with Marcelo, after a long research to make sure I hire the most valuable guide that meets mine and my family’s needs. Based on excellent reviews my decision was made and I have contacted Marcelo a few months in advance with questions and he responded promptly to all my messages. When we finally met, he was on time picking us directly from a cruise port, as requested. Marcelo definitely exceeded our expectations beyond our dreams. With his knowledge about the city, professionalism, navigating city with skipping lines, easy access to the attractions with parking close to where we needed to go made our tour beyond pleasant. He is the most kind human being we have ever met. He even carried an umbrella to protect us from a sun on a very hot day. He simply thought about everything to make us feel like VIP’s and we felt like we have made a friend forever. Marcelo made our day in Rio one of the best days in our life. If you are looking for a guide that is kind, honest, knowledgeable, and makes you feel safe and free of worry during your travels, Marcelo is the best! He also did not mind to take our photos and he is very talented photographer. His choice of a restaurant for a lunch was fantastic as well as gift shops for us to buy a high quality, unique and not overpriced souvenirs. We have made many trips, many tours in a past and none of them were as wonderful as this one. Thank you Marcelo for making our day very memorable and special.

  What a way to see Rio! We booked the tour via WhatsApp and were able to see much of what we wanted to see in Rio in the trip with Marcelo. He picked us up from our AirBnb and brought us all over the city. The skip the line at Christ (included) was so worth it. He takes pictures of you throughout the experience. Santa Teresa area was awesome and he takes you to the perfect spot for lunch. We finished a full day at the steps and famous church. The açaí and Brazilian cheese bread were very nice local touches as well. If you are thinking about booking, don’t hesitate. Marcelo was amazing and very knowledgeable. Thank you again for an amazing day!

  Marcelo was an incredible guide who was very communicative, proactive, and accommodating. We loved his wealth of knowledge about history, culture, architecture, art, and more. He was also able to expedite many tourist experiences - it was well worth it to speed past the lines and get on the next available train up to Christ the Redeemer. We would absolutely work with Marcelo again.
