Ritigala Forest Monastery
リティガラはスリランカの古代の仏教の僧院と山です。修道院の遺跡と岩碑は、紀元前1世紀に遡ります。古代の修道院都市アヌラーダプラから43 km（27マイル）離れた場所にあります。
Minneriya National Park
この国立公園は、野生のゾウを見るには国内で最高の場所の1つです。野生のゾウは、しばしば大量に生息しています。古代のミネリヤウェワに支配されたこの公園には、88.9平方キロメートルにたくさんの低木、森林、湿地があり、トークマカク、サンバーディア、バッファロー、ワニ、ヒョウの避難所を提供しています（ただし、後者はほとんど見られません）。

5.00This is an excellent site to visit for historians, ecologists, tourists in general and family. One should allow at least a day for a good travel experience. It is necessary that traveler should take a series of steps and reach the forest ridge to admire a wonderful experience and outlook. We could not believe that Ritigala offers a mixed climate for different plant species some of which require a wet climate but yet found within the reserve. Despite being situated in a dry climatic zone, there are plenty of water sources within. The largest pond that existed within the reserve in the ancient times are being excavated at present. In future, the traveler will be able to learn and study much about the history of this place. There are many forest monasteries located in the periphery of the reserve and a visit to them would be an additional experience to the traveler. Contacts with resident forest monks and meditators who will be a rich source of experience to calm down your own mind, get rid of stress and to enjoy a lasting psychological comfort. This would be very interesting to many. The remnants of the hospital, facilities for the meditating monks and visitors that had been provided at the ancient time will tell us that this location would have been a rich place in the ancient glory.
