What To Expect
Salzburger Altstadt
Starting with the boat cruise you enjoy the old city scenery, the natural landscape of the Salzach river, combined with the exclusive residential area and the magnificent Hagen- & Tennen mountain range. If the boat trip as part of Tour III is not possible due to weather conditions or technical problems, the organizer reserves the right to carry out Tour III entirely with the London double-decker bus or to cancel it entirely. If Tour III is carried out exclusively with the London double-decker bus, a price reduction or cancellation is not possible.
Schloss Hellbrunn
After arrival at the Hellbrunn jetty, our London double-decker bus will take you (around five-minutes drive) to the enchanting Baroque Palace Hellbrunn. There, you will have an exclusive admission to the world-renowned trick fountains. After this tour, you will have time to visit the beautiful rooms in Hellbrunn Palace with an audio-guide. Also the Gazebo from the world famous movie "Sound of Music" can be visited in the gardens there. Afterwards, we will bring you with our historical London double-decker bus back to the old city, where your journey started.

4.00Disappointed that the cruise couldn’t go to Helbronn Palace due to low levels of water in the river. This was done by bus instead. The Palace was very interesting and worth a visit.

4.00Hellbrunn Palace is an absolutely charming and playful stop in Salzburg, especially with its famous trick fountains and beautiful grounds. The experience feels like stepping into a cheeky slice of history where the prince had a great sense of humor—and guests still get caught off guard today. That said, here’s my best advice: don’t buy your tickets online ahead of time. There’s a very convenient ticket office right at the edge of the Old Town, right next to the river—you can’t miss it. Many (like me) purchased in advance, only to be caught in an unexpected downpour the day of our visit. While it’s still fun in a wet, chaotic way, splashing through in soggy shoes while trying to enjoy the fountains takes away some of the magic. Go on a nice day, buy tickets once you’re sure, and enjoy the full whimsy of Hellbrunn without the weather stealing the show!

5.00Very nice activity. The kids enjoyed the water games a lot. The guides on the boat speak German and English. In the palace and gardens there is audio guide in Spanish. Worth it!

3.00The 10-15 minute boat trip was uneventful and we found the gardens not really interesting … We thought we were going to see actual rooms of the palace but we didn’t … Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this tour at all unless you’re interested in lo9ing round gardens

4.00Not terribly well organised tour company. Nobody at the dock to explain anything. They have 3 different tours but when buy the tickets online you don’t know which it is. Not clear as to whether you need to line up for a paper ticket as well. I don’t think the Hellbrunn palace tour lets you inside the palace. They admit you into the “trick gardens”, which are fantastic, But by the time you’ve done that it’s time to go The boat trip section is ok but it’s frankly not that scenic
