* Extra $ for option of riverboat ride, and premier seating on train. Tour was good and food was good as well. Guide very knowledgeable.

Great experience to explore WWII history. Definitely worth the trip. Great way to see and walk in part of history. Definitely worth the extra 300 but to take the speed boat up to the bridge.do the upgrade to the seating carriage as well while on the train ride.

Expect to pay 500 BHT more per person in cash to the guide Raj and driver Ake for this trip. These two are scammers who will tell you that you need to pay more for upper class seats on the view side of the train. Raj will show you nice upholstered seats when the train cars all come weigh the very basic hard seats. The view is the same from either side. They will change the pick up and call you that they can pick up for a hefty fee at your hotel. The museum is a VERY TIRED museum. The boat ride was also 200 BHT extra person. It was nice to see the bridge, but the tour is a scam. Do not recommend. Look for another tour operator.

It was interesting to learn more about what happened in this aerea under the second world war. And to see the bridge and the river. The guide had a good clar voice. But it was a little the difficult to hear and understand him in the back of the car.

Overall, it was a great experience. We first visited the cemetery and a simple museum. Then all members of the group opted for the optional boat trip up the river to the train station. I especially enjoyed the train ride and the included buffet lunch. The drive back to Bangkok was extra long because of traffic but our guide (Rach) and driver tried to drop us close to our next destination.

We enjoyed all aspects of this tour. Walking on the bridge while hearing the history from our tour guide, Rach, was fascinating. Traveling on the train was my favorite, the scenery is beautiful. The buffet lunch was good, the view from the restaurant was spectacular! We watched the movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" on the the flight to Bangkok, that really helped us appreciate the history. We highly recommend this tour!
