Your adventure begins in Riverside, one of Toronto’s oldest communities, where heritage buildings, the Queen Street bridge, and a vibrant food scene set the stage. From there, we wander into Leslieville, a laid-back district once defined by factories, now beloved for its tree-lined streets, indie cafés, and some of the city’s best eateries.
Every stop on this tour is a true neighbourhood favourite—no chains, no tourist traps. You’ll step inside local hot-spots, taste dishes crafted with care, and hear the stories behind the food.
And to top it off? A chance to sip one of the area’s famous local brewery beers.

5.00We had an amazing time on the Riverside & Leslieville Walking and Food Tour with Maya! She is truly a one-woman powerhouse. She has thoughtfully designed the walking route, taking you through vibrant mural alleys, past historic buildings, and sharing fascinating stories about the neighborhood’s history along the way. Every stop felt intentional and added to the experience. What made the tour even more special was the incredible food. Maya introduced us to locally owned, farm-to-table restaurants, each serving fantastic food and drinks that showcased the best of the neighborhood. Beyond her extensive knowledge, Maya’s warm personality and enthusiasm made the tour feel like exploring the city with a friend. If you’re visiting Toronto—or even if you’re a local looking to experience these neighborhoods in a new way—I highly recommend it!

5.00It was great going around the riverside neighborhood with Maya. She provided interesting details on the neighborhood history and ensured the food stops are local, food is awesome and establishments had stories of their own. Everyone had a great time and loved how attentive and knowledgeable Maya was. I would definitely do another neighborhood or a custom tour with Maya. Also I had suggested my friends go on this tour so I was super happy when my friends were engaged, entertained and satisfied with the tour.

5.00Riverside was never a place I had spent any time in. Always transiting through on the way to somewhere else. Maya made the community come to life with a terrific curation of landmarks, amazing food (just the right amount to fuel but not weigh you down) and stories. Toronto is an amazing collection of communities and history that deserves to be taken in, and experienced at the right pace. Maya excelled at doing just that-slowing down the pace of life and highlighting the amazing places, eats and stories that changes your perspective of the city we call home. Something all of us can use more of. And Delicious Discoveries is the only company I would recommend you use to discover the city of Toronto.

5.00What a great tour! The host, Maya, was so knowledgeable about Toronto! I thought the tour was just about the food, but I learned about Toronto history, and even about the architecture and art that we passed. We hit four places, all of which were delicious, and worthy of adding to my "visit again soon!" list! What a great day! Now I have to book the Casa Loma tour!!!

5.00I recently worked with Maya to arrange a private tour for my family who were visiting Toronto for the holidays. The process of organising the tour was very smooth; I received a timely response to my initial inquiry, Maya then put together a detailed proposal, taking into account the specific requirements of the group. We visited Riverside and Leslieville. The tour itself was fantastic, Maya is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide. The route and stops worked well for a multi-generational, multi-language group. We tasted a range of delicious food and drink, and it was great to hear the stories of the local businesses that we visited. Maya had considered every detail; she even brought hand warmers for the group! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring future guests on a Delicious Discoveries Tour.

5.00This was my second Delicious Discoveries walking tour, and I was reminded of the reason I keep coming back. Maya is a phenomenal guide with a great sense of humour, and a real connection to local establishments and their owners. It was so fun to explore Riverside and Leslieville, learn more about the history of the area, experience street art in unexpected places, and of course, experience some amazing dishes of varied cuisines. We even crossed paths with a local celebrity who warmed my heart and added a little extra magic to the tour. I can't wait for what Delicious Discoveries offers next :)

5.00A wonderful tour! The food at every stop was delicious, and the variety was excellent (I was especially impressed as a vegetarian). I really enjoyed the walking tour element, too. I've lived in Toronto my whole life but haven't spent a lot of time in Riverside or Leslieville, so it was great to learn more about this corner of the city. I already want to go back and explore more! Maya was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend.
