Great Private tour into natural Maui and waterfalls!

5.00One of the best things we did on Maui! We are outdoors people, love to see nature. Without all the crowds. Alec is amazing. He will take you as much as you can take. We usually skipped the "usual" stops and he took us to places you would never find on your own. If you like hiking into places. The road is super curvy and its a slow journey, but make sure to go early and beat the tons of cars on Hana highway. It is busy! He took just me and my wife in his Jeep. It was a real treat. I love his knowledge and in a small vehicle, you get to ask tons of questions and great conversation. A little more cost then the "vans" but after today, I would only go with Alec in a jeep! notes. Wear walking shoes that you can wade in water or get muddy and not have to change for trail walking. We waded across streams! and went through a lot of trails.

5.00Alec was great! Very knowledgeable about the area and lots of experience driving the road to Hana. The bamboo forest was amazing. Alec took us to amazing food spots including the famous banana bread. He got lots of great pictures of us!

5.00Alec was great. Truly a local guy who knew all the cool spots and everyone and everything along the way. This was more of a choose your own adventure, he listened to what we liked to do and made stops appropriately. He knew spots and stops off the beaten path, had fast access to activities, knew all the best spots. I would definitely suggest this guided tour to others. We had a great time and are so happy we did it. We never would have known the spots he did. Bonus, he is also a good photographer and videographer. He would randomly just take my phone and get pictures and got great video of us as we were swimming under the waterfall. Thanks Alec! 😉

5.00The Road to Hana waterfall hiking jeep tour was truly an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Alec, made all the difference. He was kind, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable, and from the moment we started, he made my girlfriends and me feel completely safe and comfortable. Alec went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. He made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight along the Road to Hana and shared so much interesting information along the way. What really stood out was how attentive he was. He even took photos and videos for us, so we could stay present and enjoy every moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves. His energy and genuine enthusiasm made the entire day so much fun! You can tell he truly cares about giving his guests an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. If you’re lucky enough to have Alec as your guide, you’re in for something special! Make sure you wear some kind of water shoe or strap sandal for suitable for hiking and also swimming!

5.00Highly recommend this experience!! Alec curated a great experience for us. We barely ran into other tourists which made the experience even more special. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend! There is no way we would’ve been able to do the drive between my husband and I. It made us feel so much more comfortable having a guide who is familiar with the curving cliff roads and someone who knew all the spots.

1.00Honestly I was very optimistic about this guide even after reading some of the bad reviews. But unfortunately a lot of the negative reviews were 100% accurate. I’ll keep it short and simple. 1. He doesn’t take you to any good spots to get local quality food. Just gas stations. 2. When we were at the half way to Hana stand he tells us to sit in the car and grabs one banana bread and splits it in half for me and my wife to just share the other half. Unreal! We would’ve bought our own if he was that cheap. 3. He didn’t take us to any of the real road to Hana land marks or locations. He would say he knows of a better spot but after talking to locals we found out it’s because he’s not allowed to take us to the main land marks. 4. We finish our trip 2 hrs early due to the rain and asked him to take us to a local Hulu Hulu chicken spot to get food. Instead he takes us back to the gas station where his friend works. Smh. He does take picture of you however he rushes that as well. I highly recommend NOT to go with this tour if you really want a a great experience.

5.00My son and I had a really nice day, with Alec. I was so glad that I wasn't driving the twisty road to Hana. I was able to relax and enjoy the phenomenal views and let Alec do the driving. We did some awesome hikes throughout the day, stopped at a few waterfalls, had some AMAZING fresh (right out of the oven) banana bread. And Alec also served as a photographer, throughout the day, too. It was a really great day and great way to see this well known road.

He was safe, helpful, and knowledgeable about the history of the area and of “secret” areas that few others go to. He helped make our 40th anniversary trip to Maui a great experience and we highly recommend him as a guide.
