  I took a tour with Charlie’s Roatán Tours in November 2025, and even though it was a rainy day, the experience was absolutely incredible. Our driver and guide, Dario, was prompt and picked us up right on time at the meeting location. He was talkative, friendly, and very informative throughout the entire excursion. Dario went above and beyond, he took us all around Roatán, made sure we were comfortable at every stop, and even snapped photos for us so we could have great group shots. He was truly an excellent tour guide. One of the highlights of our day was the visit to Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloth Hangout. The staff there were so warm and welcoming, and we had the best time interacting with the animals. Holding the sloths, meeting the monkeys, and learning more about them made the experience unforgettable. It truly added something special to our tour. Before the trip, Charlie was great with communication, answering questions and making sure everything was clear. We felt safe, secure, and well taken care of the whole time. I would 1,000,000% recommend Charlie’s Roatán Tours to anyone visiting the island. They are affordable, incredibly accommodating, and clearly aim to please.   This was literally one of the best excursions I had in a while first time in roatan and we didn't have good weather but they made some changes to get us to where the weather would be good and took us to an area where it was more calm we did the city tour.. sloths monkeys ... snorkeling and beach we were tired after everything so didn't stay at beach long but are tour guide Dario was awesome great guy to talk to filled us in on info and sense we cut are beach break short he was like we can do more stuff if you want but we were beat from activity I highly recommend if your gonna do a excursion in roatan do a local tour with Charlie's and not an over crowed cruise owned tour there so many companys it's hard to choose but I think we found the best again I can't be more happy and the island is Beautiful we plan on coming back and staying on the island ..... awesome

  Juan Carlos was our driver he was awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed going to AJ's and playing with the sloth Brenda was adorable, the macaws were beautiful and the monkeys were extremely adorable but mischievous. Especially George that Curious George thing is real! Want to see was really awesome he took us to all sorts of places along the way showed us back alleys that we probably wouldn't have seen with a regular tour says it was just my husband and I we had a very nice conversation with him learn lots about the island and hopefully we'll be back soon.

  Excellent experience from start to finish. We followed the instructions and were picked up by Juan. He took us to his air conditioned car. Which was comfortable. He was so knowledgeable about the island and answered all our questions. We visited AJs, rum factory and chocolate market. He took photos of us! He delivered us right back to the port!   Dario brought us to a pharmacy, local grocery store, and showed us where the locals fish. He made us all feel like family! Highly recommend this company for your tours but Ask for Dario! Tell him Bubba sent ya! We will definitely be back and will book with Dario!

  This was our second time to Roatan. The first time we stayed at the port beach area but this time we ventured outside the cruise port. From start to finish, Charlie’s Roatán Tours exceeded our expectations. The reservation/booking process was fast and simple. No credit card hold was required. We paid cash after the tour. We arrived early at the starting location and the driver was already there. The van was spacious and the AC cold. The Island Tour was the perfect way to get see and learn about the island and its culture. Our tour guide, Uncle Dave, is local favorite. Everyone knows and recognizes him. We learned the island history along with local traditions and customs. We will definitely be booking with them again on our next visit to Roatan.

  Awesome tour! Dario with Charlie's Tours is top notch, caters to you and is very informative! If you want to see native Roatan, go with Dario!! GO!   Charlie’s Roatan Island Tour was incredible. We had an awesome. It was so much fun. Our tour guide, Stephen, was the best. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and kept us laughing. He made sure we did everything we wanted to do on the tour. I would definitely recommend Charlie’s.

  This was by far, the best day on our cruise. I booked an ATV, monkey/sloth Island tour and assumed we would be in a bus with a dozen or so people. Instead it was our family of 4 and Ronaldo our guide for 5 hours. It felt like we had a private guide and Ronaldo took care of everything. When we asked about coffee, we detoured to a local supermarket for some non-touristy goods and even ended up having lunch at a local spot. The ATVing was very fun. Definitely recommend booking this instead of a cruise excursion.
