What is special about the climbing in the Algarve? A lot! The limestone formations in the Algarve can be climbed all year round. In the Algarve a great number of the climbing routes are situated at the cliffs, so imagine nice moves over the azure blue ocean accentuated by the sound of waves and refreshing gust.

This is a privat trip as we like to focus on the individual needs and experiences of our guest. The price of 175€ includes 2 climbers.

What To Expect

According to your experience we will discuss together if we will climb on a beautiful relaxed inland sector with the grades from 3 - 6b. Here we will have plenty of options to either start from the scratch with a beginner session or improve your skills in top-rope or if you already know how to lead climb to sent some lines in lead. Our aim is to have a safe and fun session together. To reach this goal we need to know your experience level so we can plan everything ahead of your arrival. If you have already experience in outdoor climbing we can discover together the beauty of our Cliff Climbs in the Algarve. But beware if you didn't climbed outdoor before or your are afraid of height we should aim for a fun session in the landlocked climbing sector and see if we can get you hooked on your journey to become a safe and competent climber. Happy to meet you at the rock

Incredible experience with Toto and Steffi for the climbing activities. We sport climbed in two incredible spots, we boulders and we did some DWS. We always felt safe and enjoyed x1000. It was so fun! You should look at their accommodation also. There’s a nice pool, it’s very private and definitely worth the price. We loved it :-)

We booked spontanous a climbing class for beginners and we did rock climbing near Lagos, it was amazing and next to surfing the Highlight of our Trip. Toto was very helpful, had a lot of patience and gave us great advise for climbing. We are beginners in climbing and we are definitely continuing climbing. We really enjoyed climbing with him and also to learn about living in the Algarve.

We had Ines of the best weekends ever. On Saturday we took a surfing beginner course and on Sunday a climbing course, both at ASA. We stayed in one of their apartment and everything was really great - far over expectation! I was alone as a father with 2 children 11 and 13 and everything fit perfectly even the people are super nice. I can recommend 100%!

I had so much fun climbing!! I go to a bouldering gym at home but it is nothing compared to being actually outside on the rocks. The guide was so patient with me when I was nervous and even let me do shorter/easier routes until I was more comfortable doing the full distance. It was great because I never felt rushed or pressured to doing anything that was too much for me! Great for anyone who wants to push their comfort zone. Would definitely recommend:)

What a wonderful experience! We booked a half day private climbing trip and it was literally and figuratively the 'high point' of our vacation in Portugal! Toto was the perfect instructor. He managed to estimate our abilities perfectly and took us to the best spot for us. The instructions we're clear and we felt very safe in his hands and during his guidance. Bensafrim (by Lagos) was the perfect climbing spot for our first outdoor experience. The whole experience was very enjoyable and well worth the money! We will definitely recommend this to our friends and family. See you next time Toto!!

Fantastic place for climbing. The guide was very helpful, and playing it safe. Incredible views, and fun climbing also if you are not an expert.

Climbing with ASA was a great experience! I felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time and Toto chose exactly the right routes for my climbing level. Well maintained equipment and the experienced guide made me feel really safe. The climbing area was amazing and the ocean view while climbing made my first outdoor climbing day even more a full success. Will come back and do it again for sure :-)
