My Dad and I booked a trip to check out the rogue river and had the best time! Our guide Caleb was very knowledgeable about the river and local history. I would absolutely recommend OTRT and look forward to coming back next year.

My husband and I, age 77, wanting to kayak class ii rapids before I got too old chose Orange Torpedo's 6 1/2 mile, all age, half day afternoon kayaking trip for inexperienced paddlers who can swim. It was perfect. Our adult son paddled circles around us, free to do his thing at his level, while I got washed backwards around a big rock, was turned over twice, and got towed against 2 strong headwinds, all fun. Young, handsome, impeccably groomed Edward, young, cute, petite Rainy, and buff, seasoned head trainer Tom were our outstanding river guides. Entering the 1st class ii rapid, I paddled too timid to follow Tom left around the big rock. Bumping against it sideways, the current took me backwards to the wrong side, but Edward was right there to make sure I was safe. Then, paddling forward through this class ii, a hole opened up in front of me and tipped me over; petite guide Rainy, all encouragement and smiles, pulled bigger me onto her kayak, then coached me back into my own, and away I paddled again. Along beautiful calm sections we floated, watching the peregrine falcons....except where strong headwinds slowed me to a crawl - Edward offered to tow me and I said yes. Edward also pulled me back into my kayak after the 3rd Class ii dumped me again; Tom said "good swim" as he helped trap my kayak. I made it the rest of the way on my own, yeah! Rainy put us in wet suits on this 61 degree cool day to keep us warm. For only $100 each, we had 2 1/2 hours of memorable kayaking on the Rogue river with constant TLC from 3 friendly guides. What a deal! Great day!

Great experience. Mike and Josh were great tour guides. Really knew the history and scenery around you. Great people and even better experiences. They go out of there way to accommodate.

Fantastic trip. Well organized, consistent consideration to safety, excellent instruction and superb knowledge of the river, great story telling, fabulous food, and awesome guide to kayaker /rafter ratio (13 guests; 5 guides). Couldn't be more pleased. Guides Mike, Tim, and Stitch were special treasures. Then the river: simply stunningly beautiful and so much fun. Thanks again Orange Torpedo for a great time.

We went out for this half day experience with AJ, Artesia and Cora and... wow, we could not have had more fun. We had a mix of really little kids (two seven year olds and a five year old), some novice adults and some experienced adults who have seen a lot of white water in the past and the trip was perfect. My wife and I went out on inflatable kayaks to give ourselves a bit more action while the kids and less experienced members went out on a raft. Everyone had an absolute blast. This one trip was the highlight of our entire two week vacation. We cannot recommend it enough.

The staff was amazing. There were only 3 of us on our raft and Sophie handled the oars. She was fabulous. Her personality added to the experience! It was about 100 degrees out, so to be on the water, getting splashed, was perfect.

Parker was the best guide we could have ever had. He was patient and answered all of our questions (some of the same ones several times) and was able to help us feel safe while we did our first rafting experience ever. He was knowledgeable, professional, funny, and kind. The trip we went on was just enough to give a thrill without going overboard. We def would (and have) recommend this to anybody who is thinking of doing something like this. The company has something for beginners like us and experts.

This was a really fun day for the family. Plan on getting wet! we jumped in a couple of times to cool off and float alongside the rafts. Lunch was good, the guides were great, and the duration and level of skill required for the class I + II rapids was perfect for our family. Highly recommended
