The Rogue River thrill seeker is the trip for the group who can’t decide on the experience they want so they choose to do it all. In the morning paddle yourself in an inflatable kayak through the pristine pools in the bottom of Hellgate Canyon. Take on some adventure and paddle yourself through the class II rapids of the Rogue River in your own inflatable kayak! Our guides will teach you the skills and show you the lines, but paddling through will be all you, and you can certainly do it!

Mid-day the group will enjoy lunch on our patio between games of ladder golf. After you have had your fill we load in the van for a short drive to the put-in for the Nugget Falls section of the Rogue River. This section of the river has much bigger whitewater so we load into a paddle raft where you paddle as part of a team through the frothing torrents. The afternoon section builds in difficulty, culminating in the famous Tilomikh falls, a combination of two drops plummeting over 10 feet in total.

What To Expect

In the morning we paddle the Hellgate section of the Rogue River in inflatable kayaks. In the afternoon we paddle the more exciting Nugget Falls section of the Rogue River as a group in a bigger paddle raft.

We had a great time on this two part, full day trip. The morning was spent kayaking down the Rogue in inflatable kayaks. Lots of fun and a bit of adrenaline navigating the Class I and II rapids. Our guides, Will and Drake, were great. We had lunch back at the Orange Torpedo facility, then spent the afternoon rafting through Class III and IV rapids. Loads of fun and excitement!

This was a fantastic outfit to go on a rafting trip with. The guides were experienced and fun to spend the day with (thanks Kalin and Hayden)! I had never been kayaking on a river, and had a great time, it was approachable and a fun new experience. The length of the trip was just right, and the lunch in-between kayaking and white water rafting was the best I've had on a rafting trip. The views on the Rogue river were spectacular, it was a wonderful escape from the hustle of everyday life.

Our trip was really well organized. Orange Torpedo was also good at communicating with us before the trip. We all felt we were in good hands with Chase as our guide. We all had a really great time.

We did the Thrill Seeker and had the best time. Our guide, JP, was incredibly fun and knowledgeable, and the sites along the Rogue, especially in Hellgate Canyon, were amazing. I can't recommend these guys enough!

Wow wow wow What an amazing day. Our guides JP and Alex were amazing. Knowledgeable and fun. Engaged with our kids making it incredibly fun but also very concerned for our safety. The morning was filled with class I/II rapids in an individual inflatable kayaks. Great intro into whitewater kayaking and all through the most beautiful setting. Saw eagles, osprey, turtle, deer, and mink! Plenty of time for swimming and messing around in the water. The afternoon was filled with bigger III/IV rapids in a big boat. JP again ran a fantastic trip filled with laughs, rapids, and the utmost concern for our safety and enjoyment. We learned a lot about the area and history. I completely recommend orange torpedo tours ! Maybe next time we will try a multi day trip!

The thrill seeker was definitely worth it! Kayaking in the morning and rafting in the afternoon were amazing experiences, and I don’t know which one I enjoyed more! Lunch was delicious and filling, and our guide, Disney, was the absolute best :)

What an incredible experience! We chose the Thrill Seeker to get a good mixture of both the kayak and raft, and both really gave completely different experiences so I'm glad we opted for the full day to fit in both. All the tour guides were amazing, but Disney really made our trip exceptional and so much fun. This was our first time kayaking and rafting on the river and she really helped get us confident and comfortable on the water from the start. She went over verbally what to expect with each set of rapids and how we were going to handle them to help us mentally prepare. She truly knows how to guide and work with a group of completely random people to help make them a team. She also, without hesitation, helped rescue a lone kayaker's kayak from the class 4 rapids and then offered to help get him back to the boat ramp since he had just lost his paddle and belongings. She just went the extra mile with every aspect of today's trip and we can't say enough about how wonderful it was! I will say, another group really struggled because they were NOT listening to their guide and completely talked over her the whole time, so please listen! They know what they're doing if you give them a chance to help you. Thank you Orange Torpedo for the absolutely fantastic day! We will DEFINITELY be coming back for more!

If want to experience the wild and scenic portion of the Rogue you need to go with Orange Torpedo Trips. I look forward to the 3 day trip each summer and it never disappoints. All of their guides are experienced and knowledgeable about the river and make you feel safe every step of the way. Each day is full of fun and splashy rapids with safe and fun ways of running them explained to you by the staff. The lodges each nights are a rustic and fun experience. This is an "unplug and take it all in" vacation with beautiful nature and memorable moments. This is truly the best outfit on the Rogue, get after it!
