Start with a pickup from your Rome hotel, and hop on the back of your Vespa scooter, behind your private guide. After a short safety briefing, you’ll set off to explore the colorful cobblestone streets of Rome. Your first stop is Piazza Venezia, home to the Vittoriano monument, the imposing white structure that dominates the cityscape of Rome. Hop off to learn about the landmark and hear recent stories about the struggles of Italians for their freedom. Head onward to the Imperial Forum to learn about the Roman Empire from its glory days to its decline. As you circle the streets of Ancient Rome, you’ll come face-to-face with the Colosseum. Jump off for a few more photos, and listen to your guide’s commentary to separate the Hollywood stories from the Colosseum’s historical reality. Continue to tucked-away treasures such as the Baths of Caracalla, and get to know the Ancient Appian Way. Stop to refuel with an espresso or gelato in the food-lovers district of Testaccio, and climb the green boulevard known as Aventine Hill. Admire sweeping panoramas from the orangery, before you look through the secret keyhole of Rome for a unique sight of St. Peter’s Basilica. As you wind your way back down the hill, check out Circus Maximus and the ruins of Caesar’s Palace in the distance. Once back in town, it’s time to finish up with a drop-off at your Rome hotel. Please note: It is not possible to drive the Vespa on this tour.

Our nighttime tour of Rome by Vespa was BY FAR our favorite experience throughout our 3 weeks traveling through Italy. The tour was fantastic but it would not have been as wonderful as it was if it weren’t for our 3 guides. My guide was Giacomo. Giacomo and his crew were so incredibly knowledgeable of Rome, including so many small bits of knowledge only locals would know. He included personal aspects of the tour that made the trip truly authentic and my favorite part. The value of the trip was unrivaled because it was so personal. He included personal recommendations of restaurants, gelaterias, and patisseries. They even made us a reservation for dinner at one of their recommendations during the tour and dropped us off at the restaurant afterwards. We will 1000% be returning for a countryside tour when we return!

We had such an amazing time with our guides Andi and Giacomo, despite the rain that got us they gave us an amazing experience full of history details. They even added an extra stop by our request. I had the tour with my wife, it was our first time in Italy and our guides were so respectful and kind answering all our questions and even giving us some tips about the city, restaurants and other places to visit. This is a must do!

The best Roman experience! We had been to Rome a few times and somehow Valerio managed to take us to several new places we hadn’t explored before, was so full of knowledge and didn’t hesitate to answer every single question. Highly highly recommend doing this tour!!

Valerio was an absolute rockstar during our Vespa tour. He was exceptionally kind, with a contagious sense of humor, and possessed a wealth of knowledge about Rome's history and hidden gems. Being able to spend my birthday with him while exploring the vibrant streets of Rome made the experience feel truly adventurous, immensely fun, and remarkably memorable. This tour didn't even feel like a typical guide-led activity because it was more like riding a Vespa with a close friend, sharing stories and laughs along the way. Thanks so much, Valerio. I highly recommend this experience to everyone I know who wants to see Rome from a unique and personal perspective.

This was a lovely time and I would highly recommend this to every first time visitor to Rome. My only feedback is I would have preferred to tailor the experience more to what I would have liked to see. I would even have happily paid more for a longer experience.

This was just fantastically fun. Our family of 3 each had a Vespa with a driver. The driver/guides were terrific. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny. We were traveling with our 10yo son and they were very engaging with him. They picked us up at the hotel and gave us the option to go back or be dropped off somewhere and so we chose Campo dei Fiore. What a terrific way to experience Rome.
