What To Expect
Start with a pickup from your Rome hotel, and hop on the back of your Vespa scooter, behind your private guide. After a short safety briefing, you’ll set off to explore the colorful cobblestone streets of Rome. Your first stop is Piazza Venezia, home to the Vittoriano monument, the imposing white structure that dominates the cityscape of Rome. Hop off to learn about the landmark and hear recent stories about the struggles of Italians for their freedom. Head onward to the Imperial Forum to learn about the Roman Empire from its glory days to its decline. As you circle the streets of Ancient Rome, you’ll come face-to-face with the Colosseum. Jump off for a few more photos, and listen to your guide’s commentary to separate the Hollywood stories from the Colosseum’s historical reality. Continue to tucked-away treasures such as the Baths of Caracalla, and get to know the Ancient Appian Way. Stop to refuel with an espresso or gelato in the food-lovers district of Testaccio, and climb the green boulevard known as Aventine Hill. Admire sweeping panoramas from the orangery, before you look through the secret keyhole of Rome for a unique sight of St. Peter’s Basilica. As you wind your way back down the hill, check out Circus Maximus and the ruins of Caesar’s Palace in the distance. Once back in town, it’s time to finish up with a drop-off at your Rome hotel. Please note: It is not possible to drive the Vespa on this tour.

5.00SO much fun! Our tour guides were amazing! I had Andy and had the coolest most fun night ever. Such a unique and special way to see Rome. They were as nice and flexible/fun as could be. We have nothing but good things to say about this tour. I highly recommend to anyone especially if you have limited time to see Rome or limited mobility. Very easy, fast and fun way to see so much of the city.

5.00I surprised my husband with the Vespa tour of Rome. What an amazing experience! Marco and Federico, who were warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable, took us places we could never have visited in our own, outside of the touristy Centro. And the feeling of zooming through the Eternal City on the back of a Vespa is not to be missed. A day I will never forget.
