Colosseum
Your journey into antiquity begins with the Colosseum, one of the world’s most iconic sights. Your guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to tell you all about the battles, both physical and political, that played out in this incredible amphitheater. You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gladiator’ didn’t get everything right and that feats of ancient engineering even allowed the Romans to re-enact naval battles here.
Palatine Hill
The next stop takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy spectacular views overlooking your next destination: the Roman Forum.

We went to the colosseum and was completely blown away with how amazing it was. Not only is the colosseum and the surrounding areas extremely beautiful our tour guide (Silvia) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and welcomed any questions we all had. We learnt a lot of information we hadn’t previously known and she was more than willing to take some pictures of me and my partner, recommend some of her favourite restaurants and also gave some advice on some of the local Italian wine. She also didn’t rush the tour as others would she took her time to make sure we saw as much as possible and was willing to stay behind at the end of the tour for any remaining questions. I would happily take another tour with Silvia as she really made the experience amazing and you could really tell she loved her job. Thank you again!

Our tour guide , Sylvia was absolutely fantastic. She explained every detail of the sites with incredible knowledge and enthusiasm. Her energy kept the whole group engaged, and her sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. She answered every question patiently and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. It truly felt like spending the day with a passionate storyteller rather than just a guide. Highly recommended!

The guide - Maria Luisa was exceptional. She really put in a lot of effort in making the tour really interesting. She brought several pictures clicked from museums etc. to relate them to how life used to be at the time and the stories associated with it.

Nice tour. Didn’t realize how violent history was. Andre (tour guide) very knowledgeable funny and interesting. Very crowded even in February!! I would recommend going earlier in the day to hopefully avoid crowds. If you have knee problems a little challenging because of steep stairs. Definitely not on a weekend. Toilets are an issue but cafe across the street allows use as long as you buy something first. I really did learn a lot. Great tour.
