What To Expect
Colosseum
Your journey into antiquity begins with the Colosseum, one of the world’s most iconic sights. Your guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to tell you all about the battles, both physical and political, that played out in this incredible amphitheater. You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gladiator’ didn’t get everything right and that feats of ancient engineering even allowed the Romans to re-enact naval battles here.
Palatine Hill
The next stop takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy spectacular views overlooking your next destination: the Roman Forum.

5.00Silvia did a great job guiding us at the Colosseum and Roman Forum! Our family visited in April 2026 - it was warm out and bright! The Colosseum is very big with a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes be prepared to go up and down some steep stairs. My mom has mobility issues so it was hard for her and she had to leave early. There is an elevator which is helpful verses stairs. If you have mobility issues, be sure to bring a folding chair cane b/c there are not a lot of places to sit at the Colosseum. The Roman Forum was also really neat with some steep inclines and hills. Again - a lot of walking so be prepared and bring a water bottle. Silvie was very knowledgeable on the history and had a fun personality! My only issue was the little ear phones kept falling off. If you have trouble be sure to ask early on.

5.00Tour guide was very knowledgable and was easy to understand. I had a toddler with me and after reading other reviews opted against bringing our stroller and instead wore our toddler and I'm glad I did due to all the stairs. Our family unfortunately cut out slightly early at the Roman Forum due to unexpected torrential downpour – she continued on with anyone still willing. Note to always pack for the unexpected!
