What To Expect
Colosseum
Your journey into antiquity begins with the Colosseum, one of the world’s most iconic sights. Your guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to tell you all about the battles, both physical and political, that played out in this incredible amphitheater. You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gladiator’ didn’t get everything right and that feats of ancient engineering even allowed the Romans to re-enact naval battles here.
Palatine Hill
The next stop takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy spectacular views overlooking your next destination: the Roman Forum.

5.00What an opportunity to get a history lesson in Ancient Rome from an actual university anthropologist- our tour guide- made the history come to life asking us to use our imaginations and think about the colosseum and the lives of those who attended and died all in the name of entertainment and sport- also debunking some Hollywood interpretations! Great credit to our tour guide who navigated a thunder and lightning storm while we were there and still led us to the Roman Forum and palantine Hill- explaining the digs of the past century. Made the experience that much better for all of us! Thank you

5.00The tour initially seemed a little expensive, but it’s true — you get what you pay for. This tour was worth every penny and even included the audio tour. We had Sam, “The Egyptian,” as our guide, and he was incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to answer every question, even after the tour had ended. The tour lasted a full three hours, and Sam was brilliant throughout. You leave with so much knowledge and insight. Sam never compromised on safety at any point during the tour, which was especially appreciated given the number of stairs involved. Highly recommended… A+

5.00Giorgio was an AMAZING tour guide! He was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and overly accommodating! I learned so many things that I would have never learned on my own. He also took the time to answer lots of questions! Overall a great experience! Even though my name appeared incorrectly on my ticket, Giorgio was helpful in suggesting a fix which worked and allowed us to still join!

1.00BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THE TOUR GUY!!! We have booked over 10 excursions with them so we know what to expect. The Tour Guy farmed out our tickets to a third rate company. This company did less than 10% of the itenerary and then told us they were done. Read the name of the tour. Guided Roman coliseum tour. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE US IN THE COLISEUM!!!! Told us the ticket got us in but they were done for the day. Do not let The Tour Guy off. We have been trying for days to contact them. NO REPLY. NO EMAIL BACK. NOW THEY ARE TAKING DOWN REVIEWS WE OOST TO THIER SITE. Do not trust their ratings. It’s a total scam. The Tkur Guy plays off to be a small company that cares. They will not contact you back after they get your money. BEWARE AND US “GET YOUR GUIDE”. I have no affiliation or care who you choose but they have been stellar to deal with and the app is great.
Had a great time while learning a lot about Roman rule while getting a glimpse into daily life around 72AD
