Colosseum
Your journey into antiquity begins with the Colosseum, one of the world’s most iconic sights. Your guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to tell you all about the battles, both physical and political, that played out in this incredible amphitheater. You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gladiator’ didn’t get everything right and that feats of ancient engineering even allowed the Romans to re-enact naval battles here.
Palatine Hill
The next stop takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy spectacular views overlooking your next destination: the Roman Forum.

The tour itself was pretty good. Our guide was very knowledgeable although what she chose to talk about in the limited time available was somewhat idiosyncratic. I was disappointed that the tour advertised as being of the Colosseum first and then the Forum/Palatine Hill - but when it started we were told the order would be reversed. That is, we ended in the Colosseum. We intentionally selected (but didn’t get) a tour ending with the Forum/Palatine Hill because we planned to spend more time in the Forum/Palatine Hill on our own after the tour ended.

Such an excellent tour! Our guide Maria Luisa was so friendly and knowledgeable. She guided us around the very historical sites of Palantine Hill, the Colosseum and Roman Forum. She had so much information about the historical sites we visited, and gave us insider tips regarding same. Will definetely come back again.

Our tour guide, Lorenzo Posocco was very informative about the locations and it was very interesting to learn about how they were thought to have looked like.

Great tour! Lots of info, be sure to bring a hat and lots of water, not a lot of shade. Good amount of walking and lots of uneven surfaces definitely better to have a guide pointing out ruins than listening to a recording and not knowing where to look.

This was a great tour for me and my family! Our guide Andres was excellent and kept us entertained with history (and jokes!) about the different parts of the tour.

Absolutely loved seeing the colosseum and it lived up to our expectations. Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting an informative colosseum, roman forum and palatine hill tour. If there is any downside it would be with amount of people that were there. it made it hard to keep up at times weaving through the crowd of multiple thousands of people, as well as see the many views and hear the guide at times but that is out of the control of the tour guide and whomever runs the colosseum should cut ticket sales off at some point. I personally still would have booked the tour had i known but would have set my expectations differently had i realized there would be thousands and thousands of people there so thays why I decided to include it in my review to try and make people aware of because I had no idea at the amount of people that would be allowed to visit in one day

Scott was a great guide, friendly, flexible, very informative. We enjoyed our trip with him and he covered a lot of Colesseum, The Hill and less time in forum.

The tour was absolutely worth it. Our guide, Flavia, was extremely knowledgeable and funny, and she answered all our questions while sharing great insights and helpful tips about Roman history. The group size was very manageable (around 12–15 people), and even though the Colosseum was crowded, the entry process was smooth and well organized.

It is really embarrassing to have to vote for something like this, put 5 dots and three hundred photos, you should do, but you can not. So, I suggest you go out of the Colosseum metro station and listen to what tourists say about the show that appears to them...
