5.00Looking for a last minute activity so we decided in the food tour. Paula our guide was very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. She was engaging. She was a lot of fun and had the ability for all the other couples that were taking the tour interact with one another. She was extremely professional. I would definitely do this tour again. Thank you, Paula for a wonderful experience in the downtown Rome area. I highly recommend this tour but only if you have it with Paula.

5.00Great tour to get a taste of everything: antipasti, pastas, meat, gelato, and wine pairings were all delicious! We had a great time with our group of seven, plus our tour guide Paola. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the history of the area, and very considerate of dietary substitutions when needed, restroom stops, making sure we all found transportation back at the end of the tour, etc. Would recommend!

1.00Followed for a tip, uncooked fish, dirty restaurant Not a great experience. Typically * I love walking food tours. They are usually a great experience to do when you first land to get a lay of the land. The restaurants the tour goes on were very subpar. You only hit about 3. Very little history about the neighborhood. Finally the tour guide was not very good. Fish stop was filthy, the fish was also uncooked. A lot of awkward silence from the guide And the icing on the cake was we went to an atm to tip him, we showed him ( bc he followed me to the atm..) that it wasn’t accepting our USA bank. He then followed me to 3 bars and insisted that he would stay until we find an arm. We were so freaked out !!! Who follows someone so aggressively. We even offered to find him through the week with euros but he was following persistently. We got so freaked out we hid in a coffee shop to lose him.

His extensive knowledge of Roman and Italian history going back centuries was so impressive! He grew up locally and had so many fun, personal insights. We made 4 stops. The food and wine was outstanding! I can’t recommend this tour enough. Come hungry! You will not be disappointed. 5 stars!
