Read before buying this tour. It’s a long walk. Although the guide is pleasant and knowledgeable, know your physical limits before signing up.

This was poorly organized, and the "Whisper" audio radio device kept breaking down. Lots of static. We weren't informed of the enormous and tremendous amount of walking to be experienced on this tour. I totalled 25,000 steps just for that tour. It was as if we were on the "Bataan death march". The tour of the Vatican museum was terrible, since we couldn't figure out what the guide was saying, and with so many other tourists close by, the combination of the noise, heat, defective audio device, BO from other people in the crowd, etc. It was the perfect storm for a terrible day.

You will see a tremendous amount of Rome by foot be prepared to walk approximately 6 miles. At times, it is very difficult to hear the guide because of all of the motorcycle street noise and thousands of people continually around you. Be careful of the streets, they’re very old and very uneven cobblestones. Pray that you get a tour guide without a strong accent. Always ask your waiter for tapwater —refuse to pay €6.5 for a half a liter of water. United States Uber app works perfectly in Rome. Don’t go to restaurants if the menu outside is in English. Don’t go to restaurants if the owner or waiters are outside begging you to come in.

Luigi was our guide for the “Rome in a Day” tour. He was amazing and was knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. He even told us info about other points of interest we would see along the way to each site. For example he suggested a AWESOME coffee shop close by the Pantheon. Be prepared, the Rome in a day is very hectic…we walked over 25,000 steps from 10.30-6.30pm! But i can tell you that we enjoyed every min of the tour with Luigi. He kept it entertaining….and if it means anything….our 13 & 17 year old kids kept the headsets in the entire time and did not complain once the entire day. If you are short on time, this tour is for you to see all the sites and get a taste of Romes history. For us, this let us see all the sites and then we re-visited the ones our kids wanted to see again over the next few days. 5/5 stars for the tour 10/10 stars for LUIGI!
