Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.

Please note that this is a walking tour with a quick bus transfer from Central Rome to the Vatican.

The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted.

A government-issued ID or passport is required for all participants. Without an ID, security may deny entry to the monument. All guests, including children, must bring ID on tour day.

This tour is fully refundable up to 7 days prior to the event. Within 7 days, this tour is 100% non-refundable.

The sites are subject to occasional closures. If modifications are needed and time permits, we will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, modifications may be communicated at the tour start time.

Due to the religious nature of the Vatican Museums, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra covering (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Vatican.

Walks is an Official Parco Archeologico del Colosseo Operator approved to lead guided tours of the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill.

Between January 12 and March 31, 2026, the Vatican Museums will carry out a dedicated preservation project focused on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment. The Sistine Chapel will remain open, but the fresco will be temporarily covered by scaffolding during this period, this specific artwork will be temporarily out of view during the restoration period. This was a really long tour. Due to the Pope passing alway. We were not able to see the sistine Chapel. Our guide was good but had to show a lot and talk a lot about stuff we really didn’t want to hear.

Our tour guide was thorough and hit and was knowledgeable about all the main sites around Rome and the Vatican City locations , the highlights being the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the sites we wanted to see in Vatican City. I would recommend if you had one shot to see Rome

Angie was the best tour guideI have ever encountered. She is both super-knowledgeable and super-enthusiastic. She held the close attention of 12 people for a full day, while figuring out who each person was and was interested in. She gave us footholds on the many layers of Italian history, the evolving power of the Vatican, and what it meant to be Roman in different classes. In every case, she filled in a main attraction with stories that added context and meaning, expanding our eyes and understanding. She took much time to prepare us for the same in the Sistine Chapel, so we could analyze the individual panels in relation to the life of Michelangelo. Strongly recommended!

Vita, our tour guide, was superb. It was a long day with a lot of walking, but she paced the day well, and we never felt hurried or rushed. We were able to see all the main sights we wanted to see with plenty of time. Despite the crowds, we felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the tour. Be prepared for a lot of walking on this tour, but it helps to burn off those vacation calories!
