This Rome Shore Excursion has been designed for those guests who wish to enjoy a complete overview of Rome. This tour includes a professional English-speaking driver that gives commentaries from the vehicle.
Due to strict Italian laws that protect licensed guides, drivers can only comment and explain the sights from inside the vehicle, and are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle.
Please note that if mass is taking place in the Basilica of St. Peters, entrance may be restricted. In high season, lines to enter the basilica can be very long. There is no fee to enter the church but shoulders and knees must be covered.
MINIMUM NUMBERS apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
If you are not ready to depart at the assigned time , we cannot wait for you beyond a reasonable period of time, nor can we promise to fulfill the itinerary, nor promise to extend the duration of the tour.
Order of stops may vary.
This is a shared tour and you will be expected to maintain the pace of the group. If you have limited mobility we suggest booking a private tour for your best enjoyment.
Being a shared tour, it's important to respect the time allotted at each stop by your driver. We kindly ask that you return to the vehicle at the appointed time so that we can stay on schedule.
Children 0-5 years old must seat properly inside the vehicle. Please specify this detail if you have a child in the group so we can provide for a car seat.

Piazzale Giuseppe Garibaldi
The Janiculum Hill is one of the best places in Rome to get a panoramic view of the church domes and bell towers of The Eternal City. In the piazza stands a statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, one of the central figures in the unification of Italy in the 19th Century.

5.00Ricardo our guide was excellent, getting us to 10 sites in Rome in only 6 hours! He found us a tour slot for the catacombs, which was one of the highlights of the day. My only criticism would be of the tour scheduling (not in Ricardo's control) . We were never given a pickup time but were asked when reserving the tour for our arrival time. We assumed that our pick up was between 7:30 and 8:30 am. When no one was there to meet us, we called and were told 9:15 was pick up time. We could have got an extra hour of sleep.

5.00If you only have one day to visit Rome, we recommend this tour as a way to do. We were able to see every sight on our list, and a few more on the driver's list. He really knew how to work his way about town! Us adults older and younger enjoyed the blessings of this tour.

Matt was absolutely phenomenal, part historian, part magician behind the wheel. He somehow managed to get us unbelievably close (sometimes impossibly close!) to all of Rome’s iconic landmarks and hidden gems. His knowledge, charm, and effortless driving made the day unforgettable. Every moment felt curated just for us. It was, without question, the most incredible day of our entire trip!

4.00The trip covered many of the major highlights in Rome. Did not cover entry fees to them but that was ok as the tourist numbers were huge. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had lunch at a Restaurant which was great. The trip was about 1.5 hours each way from the port but the ride was good.

5.00My husband and I had the most delightful day exploring Rome with our driver and guide, Matt. We had only one free day before our cruise started and this was the perfect way to see Rome. Matt was so knowledgeable, a great driver through some difficult streets, and was just such a pleasant person that he made the day a memorable one. Highly recommend!

5.00What a great tour! Small group- 8 of us. Saw everything you could want to see in Rome. Saw Xircus Maximus, the Colliseum, St Paul's outside the walks. Took a picture of the dome of St. Peters thru a peephole in a door together the name. Visited the square outside the Vatican. Driver even found us a neat little restaurant for a delicious lunch. Driverinrome tours Driver Loretta knew the best ways to get around the city. Would heartily recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00What an absolutely fabulous tour! If you want to hit the highlights of Rome without fighting the crowds and traffic yourself, this tour is for you! Our driver Costinel was wonderful and knowledgeable about Rome. He was able to take us as close as he could to the sites in the van, so less walking. Costinel gave us times to meet back at the van to move to the next stop. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see it all without the stress of walking or fighting crowds.

5.00Carlo, Our Guide was incredible. He was very easy to find knowledgeable excellent driver and a great personality. Highly recommend this tour if you don't want to walk the city all day but see everything. Tell them you want Carlo.
