Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

Can't recommend this tour highly enough. We were looked after so well and the trip was seemless. Gianluca is very friendly and navigated us through the station and on to the train easily. On arrival in Naples we met Chiara our guide for Pompeii, who got us all on to the bus for the short journey to the site. She is very friendly and hugely knowledgeable. It was a great tour. Only wish it could have been longer but on to the vineyard for a fabulous lunch complete with paired wine. Then back to Termini station, again the whole operation was seemless. 5 stars and well worth the money

The tour lead Lucas (Gianluca) was friendly and funny, explained the day plans clearly and chaperoned everyone on the train ride to Naples. We met our group tour guide Aida there, who was just as friendly and very knowledgable, sharing history of Pompeii on the busride to the site. During the tour of excavation, she kept things interesting and at a good pace, giving the group time for brief pauses and questions. The winery visit was lovely, sitting outdoors under the shade of vines, tasting delicious wines, cheeses and meats. We all enjoyed the tour, from start to finish.

We also booked a combined Pompeii and wine tour, and it was excellent. Lucas met us in Rome and traveled with us all the way to Naples, which was especially important to me since we were traveling with kids. Not having to worry about train schedules, timing, or logistics made the whole day so much easier. From Naples, we met our guide Kiara and had a short drive to Pompeii with Simon as our driver. Kiara was excellent—she explained everything thoroughly and gave us a fantastic highlights tour. Definitely bring water, wear a hat, and dress for the heat. It was extremely hot, and my family and I got tired quickly, though of course that was no fault of Kiara’s. She was truly amazing! Next, we headed to a winery for lunch with a beautiful view and great service. I do wish the portions were bigger and perhaps also more courses for the price paid. Upon arrival, we were given sparkling wine and few pieces of bread. The charcuterie board while delicious was small and this was served with 4 glasses of wine to sample. Next came pasta with red sauce, which, while delicious, again small portion. And lastly was dessert.Between a funeral procession and heavy traffic, I honestly thought we were going to miss our train back to Rome, but Simon somehow got us to the station in time, where Lucas met us and traveled back with us to Roma Termini.

I booked this tour, but never got a confirmation. We were on vacation and apparently they emailed me the day before, but we had already booked another tour. All the other tours we took, they texted immediately after booking, and continuted to keep in contact with us. I would not recommend this particular tour.

It was nice to have somebody meet us at the train station and take care of all the logistics. We then met her to our guide in Naples and took a bus to Pompeii. The tour was very informative and the lunch at the winery was great. Made for a long but good day

Great day out and good to have a change of scenery from the city. Too good an opportunity to pass up. Started very early and pretty chaotic at the station, train delayed, but once we got going train was very smooth, efficient and comfortable and a fast way to get to Pompeii. The site was incredible, so much to see and not enough time. good to have a guide to explain what you're seeing. We included the winery and lunch, which was ok, not quite what I expected to be honest, felt a bit touristy and hard sell and the wine was nice but expensive. The bread and charcuterie was nice, but the pasta and dessert were not great.

Great experience. Every thing organised well, so we could just enjoy it. Our guide, Antonio, was excellent. Knowledgable, able to communicate it all well with passion and interest. Lunch was good and wines interesting Expensive but when you think of everything included,it was well worth it.

This was a wonderful experience! Our guide, Carla, was extremely knowledgeable about Pompeii and was very attentive. The winery was also lovely and the combo made for a fantastic day! Worth every penny!
