5.00Our tour of Pompeii with lunch at a winery was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of Pompeii in both preceding the volcanic eruption and following the eruption. The lunch at the winery was better than expected and it also gave us a chance to mingle with the other tourists.

5.00Benedict our guide was filled with knowledge. He was patient,humorous and kind. I cannot imagine navigating these ruins in peak season, as the streets are so narrow. The winery experience exceeded my expectations with 5 wines, plus lemoncello, a handsomely set table… presentation and wait staff that put this day over the top. Emil ran the show at Bosco Medici Winery and he was a delight!!!

5.00It was great to take the high-speed train and then a quick shuttle to the Pompeii site. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining while taking us through the ruins showing us the excavated features and how life was at the time of the sudden eruption. It was very interesting to go through an active archeological excavation site. It was just the right length of time ending with a wonderful lunch at a local winery. It was a lot of steps but well worth the day long trip.

5.00Pompeii is huge and there are so many things to see! Antonio and Lucas were great guides and really helped the city come to life. The winery visit was beautiful and a perfect ending to the day. This was our favorite activity for all of our experiences throughout Italy!

5.00The tour was very well organised. The guides were excellent and professional. I love that Italia tours were there at the train station and guided every step of the way. Pompeii is a must visit, wished we had a longer time to see more of it. Our guide Vincenzo was an archeologist that had previously worked on some of the restoration work. He was excellent. But if you do get a chance, do watch some of the documentary on Pompeii before hand and it will make the experience even more special. The lunch was very simple food but tasty. Overall it was a lovely experience.

3.00Our tour was cancelled ( not the fault of the tour company Italia Tours ) but due to our train was so delayed -- by over an hour and a half -- that we wouldn't have had the time needed to do our tour 😕😔. One of our tour guides kept us informed which was helpful. The only reason for this "review," is Trip Advisor keeps asking me for a review anyway!?
