Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

The high speed train ride is definitely the way to go. The tour is wonderful. Learning about the lives of the residents gives perspective to the event. The wine tasting lunch was more than imagined. The venue was beautiful and staff equal to the environment in kindness and service.

Fantastic experience all around. Laura met us at the meeting location and made sure everyone was accounted for and ready to go. It was a pleasant ride down and a very nice tour of Pompeii. Before heading back we loved the winery lunch (such a beautiful location and good wine-definitely worth the extra stop). Even with our two elementary school kids with us we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour/experience. We all felt welcome, cared for, and even made some new friends along the way.

The whole experience was perfect!! From Lukas picking us up in Rome to board the fast train to Naples to the handoff to Carla for the tour of Pompeii to the exquisite lunch served at the Bosco de' Medici Winery and then the fast train back to Rome. Carla was very thorough in her discussion and description of the city of Pompeii and the ruins that are remaining. She was happy to answer any questions and was always making sure that the group was all together. She didn't rush through the discriptions nor rush the people in the group. The tour was done on time and with time to spare to relax when we got to the winery. And the winery was beautiful! The grounds were impeccably kept, with roses and fruit trees and a beautiful bottlebrush tree and the wine and food were delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone that was interested in going to Pompeii. We were going to do it on our own but this decision was a wise one!!! We learned so much more and had a great lunch to boot!!

Loved the organization of the tour, Pompeii was better than imagined and the wine tasting and lunch afterward was fabulous. The only knock was the return train line was a slow train instead of a fast train due to some kind of breakdown. Bottom line is we could have gotten back to Rome faster on a cow.

Absolutely incredible! Pompeii was amazing! You really got to experience the entire city and what life would have been like! The winery was amazing! We want to come back and have our 50th wedding anniversary here! Train travel was smooth and the bus was VERY nice, just the 12 of us!

Our tour guide Carla was amazing. She gave us valuable information during time span of Pompeii. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our group of 12 ranging and all ages. The young man that took us to Pompeii Lucas was very patient and extremely educated on Italy and Pompeii. Both of these people were extremely professional and educated on the topic. The lunch and wine event made the trip more memorable. We got to know more people on the tour. Had a fabulous time. Money well worth the adventure.

We had friendly, efficient, dependable, knowledgeable tour guides. Lucas got us to and fro onto the bullet train. Ida was a wealth of information in patiently guiding us through ancient Pompai. The food and wine at the beautiful Bosco de’ Medici Winery was delicious. Service perfect and venue immaculate.
