Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

If you’re nervous about figuring out public transportation, and the train system, this is the tour for you. We met our guides at the train station. They were holding a flag so they were easily found. They purchased our train tickets for us, walked us to the train and gave us our assigned seats. The train ride was so nice! There’s a train cart where you can get drinks and food and there’s restrooms between each train cart. The view from the train was also very beautiful. Our guides took us to Pompeii and explained the history for us. Afterwards, we went to a local Vineyard and had wine and food. Our host at the winery was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great. All in all… a beautiful winery and experience. Afterwards, our guide drove us back to the train station, put us on the train in our assigned seats again and we headed back to Rome. It was a super easy and stress-free experience.

Lucas did great exploring and guiding us through the train experience, and Vincenzo was an excellent guide through the ruins. Very knowledgeable, attentive and engaging. The van was comfortable, and the wine tasting and lunch were delicious. Beautiful grounds for the restaurant. Highly recommend this tour.

What a lovely experience. From meeting to returning we were well taken care of. Lucas managed the train trip and took care to make sure everyone’s questions were answered. Victoria was so knowledgeable about Pompeii and connected with each guest. We had a great understanding of Pompeii and the continued work going on there. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better we sat and enjoyed lunch at a beautiful winery. This was a top notch experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pompeii today. The weather was outstanding and our guide Vincenzo was well informed and did an excellent job of explaining what we were seeing and answering questions. We recommend the tour highly. The lunch and wine tasting were also most enjoyable.

Had a really good day out. Well organised. Met guide Lucas at station. High speed train from Rome to Naples. Bus transfer to pompeii and fantastic 2 hour tour with knowledgeable guide Ida. Nice end with wine tasting and light lunch. We bought ours whilst heavily discounted and was good value. Think price may vary depending when booked as we bought our tickets last min. Some others on the tour had paid a lot more

This whole day experience was fantastic, from the guide, Lucas, at the train station, to the pompeii guide, Ida. The organisation was spot on and everything was timed perfectly but we didn't feel rushed. The extra stories that the guide gave us made pompeii come alive. Then we were taken to lunch with wine tasting which was so relaxed and time to chat to the others on the tour. Lovely bunch of people from America, New Zealand and of course us brits. High recommend if you get the chance.

Everything is all arranged, even the train tickets, and we got to take the train to Naples, then a short bus ride into Pompeii. We had an audio guide with us in Pompeii who was incredibly knowledgeable and enjoyable. We then enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch at a gorgeous vineyard about 5-10 minutes away by bus, then headed back to the train and back to Rome. A full day well worth the trip and money.
