Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

I booked this tour, but never got a confirmation. We were on vacation and apparently they emailed me the day before, but we had already booked another tour. All the other tours we took, they texted immediately after booking, and continuted to keep in contact with us. I would not recommend this particular tour.

It was nice to have somebody meet us at the train station and take care of all the logistics. We then met her to our guide in Naples and took a bus to Pompeii. The tour was very informative and the lunch at the winery was great. Made for a long but good day

Great day out and good to have a change of scenery from the city. Too good an opportunity to pass up. Started very early and pretty chaotic at the station, train delayed, but once we got going train was very smooth, efficient and comfortable and a fast way to get to Pompeii. The site was incredible, so much to see and not enough time. good to have a guide to explain what you're seeing. We included the winery and lunch, which was ok, not quite what I expected to be honest, felt a bit touristy and hard sell and the wine was nice but expensive. The bread and charcuterie was nice, but the pasta and dessert were not great.

Great experience. Every thing organised well, so we could just enjoy it. Our guide, Antonio, was excellent. Knowledgable, able to communicate it all well with passion and interest. Lunch was good and wines interesting Expensive but when you think of everything included,it was well worth it.

This was a wonderful experience! Our guide, Carla, was extremely knowledgeable about Pompeii and was very attentive. The winery was also lovely and the combo made for a fantastic day! Worth every penny!

Lots of walking. So informative. You dont walk all of Pompeii but whatever section the guide is assigned to. Carla, our guide, was a wealth of knowlege. Pay attention to your walking due to the stones. So much work has been done and so much more to discover. Lunch at the vineyard was wonderful and relaxing. The food and wines were tasty. Wonderful way to wind down.

This was a wonderful day trip from Rome with an amazing staff to keep it all moving at a good, but not too fast, pace. Our guide leaving Rome helped in navigating Termini, which can be intimidating to those of us not used to large train stations. Our guide in Pompeii was informative, easy to follow, and loved the subject and sharing with others. Lunch and wine tasting were the cherry on top of a great day. Highly recommend.

Paola was a fantastic guide in Pompeii. She was knowledgeable, patient, and fun. The highlight tour of Pompeii was a great day trip from Rome and left us feeling confident and excited to take a solo trip to explore all aspects of Pompeii on our own . The winery lunch and tasting was lovely. Both experiences at the train station were chaotic and frustrating.

Worth the money! High speed train is the only way to travel to Naples, with seamless bus transfer to Pompeii. Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable and made sure we saw key sites with inside knowledge. After the tour, we enjoyed a wine tasing with individual charcuterie boards and pasta dish. Very solid wine offering with free shipping if you chose to purchase. Highly recommend!

Having the tour operator help navigate the train station and coordinate all the transportation was very helpful though finding seating on the train was hectic. The size of the whole group was about 90 people broken into four smaller groups with one tour guide per smaller group. Our tour guide Paula was very knowledgeable and personable. The lunch stop was generous with the delicious wine. Lunch was individual charcuterie with a pasta course and a small dessert course. Very glad we chose this tour!
