Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

What a great experience! Certainly one of the highlights of our Italian trip. The high speed train was fun- the tour of the Pompeii ruins was excellent and the wine/food pairing afterwards was great!

This was just an absolute top-notch, professional, well run tour. Everything ran like clockwork. We had a friendly guy, Lucas, who handled all the logistics of trains and buses. Our other guide was extremely knowledgeable of Pompeii and all it has to offer. The site itself is stunning. We were there a solid 2 1/2 hours, and you felt like you'd only seen 20%. The lunch at the winery was super nice as well. I highly recommend this tour for those looking to do a day trip from Rome to Pompeii.

Tour of Pompeii was great! Our guide was very knowledgeable. The lunch could have been better. You received a small charcuterie board, a small bowl of pasta that was not even al dentè yet ( which was a shame because it was tasty), and a small shortcake style dolce ( dessert). Wines were ok. They definitely gave you enough to drink. I'd skip the lunch and just do the Pompeii tour if I'd do it again!

Lovely staff and tour. Very well organized. The winery was OK (bonding with the other people on the tour was great) but was too much like a marketing experience (food was so so, winery staff was a bit aloof and wanted to make sales) than a solid meal and wine experience.

It is unbelievable how amazing Pompeii is and the amount of history that has been uncovered there. It is still being uncovered and we saw archeologists at work continuing to uncover more with a no lot more to be discovered over many years. I didn’t know what to expect and it blew me away with how incredible it was and in some ancient way, how advanced they were at that time. Then we went to a local winery for lunch and wine tasting. Wasn’t expecting too much as they said there were only 3 wineries in the area and they hadn’t been doing it very long, compared to other parts of Italy. Wow, just wow. Their wine blew us away. We ended up ordering a case as they offered free shipping to the USA. Great trip.

Pompeii was truly humbling and beautiful. Vincenzo did an excellent job leading the tour and providing interesting facts. The winery was a nice capstone to the day.

This was a perfect month to go, weather was nice and not too hot. We done a lot of walking, it was a gentle pace and very easy going. Our guide was fantastic, knew her history and answered many questions asked of her from our group. It was easy to find everything, the instructions were very clear. The groups are around 12 or 15 people which was lovely, it felt personal. We all had lunch together with the wine tasting and met some lovely people. I would highly recommend this tour, its well worth the money and the experience was amazing, actually walking around such a historical place.
