We had a Great twilight food tour with Rish. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and history of Rome. Rish told us that he was a local from Trastevere and you can tell that he was proud of this. We enjoyed the food, the historical content and experiencing an neighbourhood in Rome, we might not have visited otherwise. I particularly enjoyed the restaurant with the wine cellar and hearing the story of discovery the Athlete sculpture. My favourite food was the porchetta and all the wines we had were very nice. The pace of the tour was just right. Rish told us where we could get a taxi to get back to our hotel. Thanks for a Great Food Experience.

Had a terrific time on the Twilight Trastevere food walk with Miri. Her ebullient personality really engendered a sense of amicability and enthusiasm which created a very friendly atmosphere. Her knowledge of food and Roman history were enviable and profound, and she offered them in great quantities with both hands and a lot of great jokes. The tour itself provided some genuinely delicious items, ranging from gourmet slow-food samples, to chow-down street food and all sorts of things in between, along with wine and beer, and ending with gelato. Miri was kind enough to help us out when one of us tripped in a cobblestone “pothole,” with a mixture of sincere concern and genuine helpfulness. Fortunately, it was nothing serious, but her willingness to go the extra mile if necessary was obvious. Highly recommend the tour, especially if Miri’s running it, as you’ll not only “eat well, drink better” (to quote a Roman proverb Miri cited) but laugh and learn a lot as well. She even provided restaurant recommendations around the city for later use. We were so glad to have met her, and to have enjoyed the company of our cohorts around Trastevere (which we can all now pronounce accurately, grazie, Miri) and the center.

Fantastic Experience! Many thanks to our tour leaders Riccardo and Luka. We made 7 or 8 stops in this unique neighborhood of Rome. We were introduced to many exceptional wines and local cuisine. They took us to this little unassuming family run bakery that had the best cookies. The one made with hazelnut did not look appealing but was absolutely delicious. We also stopped for gelato, where Luka explained what to look for when ordering. Riccardo knew all the restaurant owners almost like he was a member of their families and Luka, being from Rome, had a great perspective on the area.
