This was an amazing tour - the food, the location and especially our guide for the evening, Dario. He was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, making what would have been a great food tour an exceptional and highly memorable experience! I highly recommend booking this, especially early in your visit, as it’s a great orientation to Roman food traditions and the lovely Trastevere neighborhood. Try to arrange your tour with Dario - we loved him!! Thank you, Dario!

Great experience. Our tour guide, Edma, was awesome. She Integrated interesting stories and historical references throughout. The group members were fun and interesting which could affect the experience. The food and drinks were good quality and plentiful. But meeting place was difficult to get to. And the ad listed more places on the tour than we actually visited.

Incredible experience to eat and drink your way around this neighborhood. Find treasures that would most likely not be found on your own.

This food tour was one of the best food tour’s I’ve even taken in any city! It was one of the highlights of the trip! The neighborhoods themselves were fascinating and the tour struck a perfect balance between rich history and incredible food. Our guide, Toni, was knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the area. We learned about the centuries’ old Jewish community, the origins of the Ghetto, the area of Trastevere, and how history, culture, and cuisine are deeply intertwined here. The stories added real meaning to every street and piazza we passed through. The food was outstanding! Tasting traditional Roman specialties, including the famous fried artichokes as well as other classic Roman bites was a real treat! Each stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, not touristy and there was more than enough food to feel satisfied by the end. The group size of 8 was ideal for asking questions and for getting to know fellow travelers. If you want to truly understand Rome beyond the major landmarks and eat extremely well while doing so, I highly recommend this tour with Toni! She is truly passionate about both the food and history of Rome and made sure to give additional recommendations for everyone to enjoy for the rest of their time in Rome. We could not stop thinking about this tour since we arrived home and decided to purchase Toni’s cookbook! Can’t wait to continue to enjoy many Roman specialties for years to come!

This food tour was amazing! We tried so many different foods from the area, and it was all so good! Our guide, Dario, was incredible. I love that he not only shared historical knowledge of the food dishes themselves, but also of the areas we were eating in. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs along the way as well. If you’re in Rome, I highly recommend this tour!
