We just got back from Eating Europe’s Twilight Trastevere Walking Food Tour and it was fabulous. We like doing these walking food tours in a city we haven’t visited before, finding them to be a great introduction to the cuisine and history of the area, going to local places you ordinarily wouldn’t visit, taken by local guides that know the area well. This was no exception. Gisella was a fantastic, natural guide; charming, informative, and entertaining. We sampled many different types of food, and learned about the history of each dish, and the wine it was served with, along with a taste of Roman history. Brava Gisella.

We were engaged by our guide from the start; Edma is personable and delightful and has an excellent command of her subject matter: food, how it comes from the field and farm and arrives on the table via the kitchen. Our party also enjoyed the walking tour, ending near the church of Santa Maria and its popular piazza. We also enjoyed the company of the variety of fellow participants of the tour. If you have not been to "eatily, " then you have not been to Italy, as they say; you want to do a tour like this when you first arrive because you learn a lot about what is really socially and culturally important here..

We really enjoyed the tour and tour guide (Luca). We were given multiple items to try. The portion size is generous. We were also given alcoholic beverages at almost every stop (full pour). I recommend this tour. It was fun and informative.
