Thank you so much for preserving and caring for the place that holds the final traces of Vincent van Gogh’s life with such meaning and devotion. Although I was already familiar with Van Gogh’s works, during the short walk with the audio guide I found myself reflecting deeply on his inner world and on the healing power of art itself. The audio guide is far from superficial; it turns what is not a long route into a deeply concentrated experience of connection. In the quiet atmosphere, one can feel the nature of Auvers-sur-Oise, the suffering Van Gogh may have carried as he walked here, and the flow of history stretching from the past into the present. The guide conveys sincere respect and affection for Van Gogh, as well as thoughtful reflection on his art, and I found myself silently empathizing throughout. It is moving that a place capable of commemorating the meaning of an artist’s life could begin from a single painting, Tree Roots. Through this tour, one can not only understand the important symbolic meaning of this final work, but also directly feel the profound passion with which art is approached here. As the guide mentioned at the beginning, this place stands at the opposite end of spectacular “tourism.” It seems to show that even a seemingly insignificant place can become a rich oasis for the soul when its meaning is truly illuminated.

I found this audio tour about Vincent's last painting very interesting and moving. I was fortunate to be alone on this walk, and felt a real connection to Vincent. The path you climb is natural, which gives it a timeless feel. The folks that operate the tour are very friendly and imformative. I highly recommend it to any van Gogh fan.
