The Māori village with a tour guide from that community was great. We learned a lot and enjoyed the cultural dance presentation. Lunch was provided which we also enjoyed. Other stops during this excursion were also interesting and informative.

It wason, short tour and not too much information about Maori culture, the show was also no that impressive. Loved to see more quality on New Zeland tours as the country and culture seems to deserve it..

Grahame was our guide. He was funny, tactful, and knowledgeable. We had some disruptive guests on our tour (not the fault of the company at all) and Grahame was sympathetic to the situation and tried his hardest to encourage better behavior. The tour itself was a nice drive around the area- the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I would have preferred actually stopping at a few places like lookouts and the gardens instead of just a drive through- hard to take photos from inside a vehicle. The Living Village was so memorable and authentic. My kids were fully engaged and all their questions were answered even though most of the people on the tour were older.

We had a fantastic time and saw way more than we expected on this tour! This made us definitely plan on using Viator in the future. We did some excursions through the cruise line but preferred this tour by far because of the smaller group. We got to do and see so much more! This was one of the top highlights of our trip, and the guide was wonderful. Thank you!

Our guide was an authentic member of the community. She grew up there. Showed us her house and how the village functions today. It’s the real deal and an amazing no cultural experience. Highly recommend this tour
