5.00There is a LOT to see and do at Rottnest Island, but the train ride takes you through the interior of the island. The big guns to defend Western Australia in WW2 are still there to see, but the ride itself is worth the price!

5.00A fabulous tour for adults and kids. The train ride takes in the scenery with an opportunity for the kids to sound the horn and the Gunnery Tour was engaging and informative. There wasn’t a dull moment. Highly recommended.

3.00This isn't really a train, more a single carriage tram. The ride is fine, and our guide was informative and friendly. Kids get to sound the horn, which makes for fun on family trips It's worth an hour to look around the Battery. But our guide was not very clear and at times it was a bit of a struggle to understand his points. Overall it's a significant part of western Australia's military history.

5.00Had a fantastic time. Loved the train and tour. Hired bikes and rode around. Took the hop on/off bus around the island. Samphire Hotel was excellent, great food. Great staff and excellent location on the island. Did some shopping. Ate out, excellent quality of food. Loved the sandy beaches. Indian Ocean is the best. And the Quokkas. OMG...... they are do adorable and photogenic.

1.00I accidentally purchased a ticket for the train ride AND tour. I thought the cost was very high, but Rottnest is known for being overpriced. When we reached the stop off point, we were advised the tunnel tour was commencing, but that it wasn’t appropriate for my newborn and two other small children (which I agreed with but didn’t even realise was part of the ticket). We promptly hopped back on the train and returned to base, when I sought a refund for the tunnel tour component and for my toddlers ticket, because again I had no idea I didn’t have to pay for his age group. I was point blank rejected with no rationale. I had hoped that a more reasonable outcome would have been reached. The train driver and ride itself was lovely.
