Rouen, the historic capital of its region, is one of the French cities that we have inevitably already heard from a friend, a relative or even a stranger but about which no one really knows how to talk about it.

This guided audio tour transports you into its medieval cobbled streets and makes you look up to marvel at each Renaissance and Gothic jewel of its past power.

Very useful application. A viable alternative to driving. You can use it at your own pace. It helps you find your way around a city of art like Rouen to visit the major points of interest with historical notions and curiosities. Cost absolutely affordable.

Really informative tour. Although a little skewed towards the American tourist. I think the pacing should be looked at, obviously you can pause and restart the audio, but it shouldn’t be necessary every time for everyone - it is physically impossible to cover the distances in the time allocated at the moment.

An absolutely great experience from start to finish! I was totally involved in this unusual, captivating and full of surprises. The one-hour tour (good, more or less if you walk fast or take your time) allows you to discover the main tourist places of the city. Special mention for the discovery of the Saint-Maclou cemetery, a place full of history and emotions, with the culmination of the mummified cat: both confusing and fascinating, a real highlight of the visit! Take the opportunity to stop at the pastry shop next to the entrance to the cemetery. The pastries are beautiful and all look delicious. I tested The Apple (very very good). Everything is very well paced, with audio and PDF support. Sometimes there may be too much detail but the speech is passionate and exciting. The value for money is excellent: for a very reasonable price, we live a cultural, historical and sensory adventure that is well worth a visit! And what about the gourmet break offered at the end? An excellent idea to conclude in style. The bakery located close to the last stop is a nugget: delicious products, a friendly atmosphere... We feasted there! Frankly, this is the kind of experience you want to recommend around you.

I normally love audio walking tours but not this one. The presenter clearly knew his city well and there was LOTS of information. HOWEVER 1) it was delivered in the manner of bored air crew delivering the safety speech and I think this is being very unfair to many air crew. 2) the directions were very poor in the audio such than we constantly had to look at the map. 3) there were no distinct well marked stops in the audio. 4) the audio file repeatedly reset itself to the beginning. 5) it was so DULL! The description was so detailed he might’ve explained that water was wet or that roofs protect from the rain. My husband gave up after 20 minutes and I gave up after 40 minutes. I will however save the recording for whenever I have insomnia.
