We had a great experience at the distillery. The staff were all lovely and very passionate about rum! We tasted 4 different rums, with and without different mixers, my favorite being the aged honey rum. All set in a fantastic old timber framed building on the high street in Stratford. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes rum or gin and hope to visit again sometime.

What an amazing experience ….. we were entertained the entire time by the team, as well as educated about rum making! Their hospitality was fantastic, we had several rum drinks as part of the experience, as well as a tasting session. To top it all off, we stilled and made our own spiced rum to take home. Best experience we have ever been to!!

We had a great time sampling rums and learning about the process of making rum (and spirits in general), we also got 10% discount in the shop afterwards for our "take home" purchases.

Had a fantastic 3 hours yesterday at Shakespeare Distillers rum school, making 2 bottles of Uncle Alberts Grog. Sam, Dave and "Stratford" Claire were all so knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about what they do. As a seasoned rum drinker, who has been to several rum distillers in the Caribbean, I learnt so much more about rum yesterday that I wasn't previously aware of. The whole afternoon, from start to finish was so much fun, and so enjoyable. All helped along by a liberal amount of samples and tasters. We also had the pleasure of sitting next to the worlds number 1 digger bucket saleswoman!! (Hope you are reading this!). I would urge anyone that enjoys their rum, and enjoys a laugh to book this experience. The only down side....having to wait for 2 weeks for my rum to mature before I can open it!!! Thank you all for a great afternoon.

We had a really great time at our Shakespeare Distillery Rum School Experience. It was really hands on, you learn how to use the still and condenser, and can pick from a massive assortment of flavours to make your rum your own. Claire was entertaining and informative and helped us choose flavour profiles that would go well. While making your own rum the samples and cocktails were flowing, which definitely helps the process! It's a family owned business and they make delicious spirits, and we bought some to take home alongside our own one from the shop downstairs.
