Neamt Monastery
Enjoy a day trip to one of the most beautiful regions in the country. Discover the wilderness of the Carpathians, the fresh air, the wonderful mountain landscapes and the serenity of this area. You will start with a visit to Neamţ Monastery, the oldest monastic establishment for monks which shelters an impressive, well-preserved library. Nor far is Neamt Fortress – important military and historical fortification that survived the siege of Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople. You will take a stroll up the hill and enjoy the beautiful view offered from this impressive fort. You will continue with a one of a kind experience: a visit to the bison reserve in Neamt.
Agapia Monastery
Your journey continues with a visit to Agapia Monastery, not only a charming religious site and a great tourist attraction but also an important center of promoting traditional crafts. Be amazed by the picturesque traditional villages where time seems to be standing still. The locals still use horse-drawn carts and prepare food above an open fire with ingredients from their backyard.

5.00We had a wonderful time on the trip to the Neamt fortress and the surrounding area. Leonard was very helpful and knowledgeable, telling us both the historical facts, local legends and new developments in the area. He was very friendly, drove very nicely and was very attentive to our interests. We fully recommend this trip!

5.00This rural experience was a very enjoyable day. I have been to Romania four times now and with each visit I get to see and experience so much more of this beautiful country. The landscape, citadel, monastery, and Nicolae Popa museum was a great insight into the rich history and culture within Romania. My guide Lucian was fantastic even organising an impromptu visit to a family which was the highlight of the day. They welcomed you traditionally, quenched your thirst and appetite with home made food and beverages and then put me to work husking some corn. Absolutely an awesome experience that will stay with me forever.
