Basilica de la Sagrada Familia
The construction of the Sagrada Familia started in 1882, under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. In 1883, when Villar resigned, Antoni Gaudí took over as chief architect, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted the remainder of his life to the project, and he is buried in the crypt. At the time of his death in 1926, when he was run down by a streetcar, less than a quarter of the project was complete. The Basilica is still unfinished, but construction passed the midpoint in 2010 and it is expected to be finished by 2026 - the centenary of Gaudi's death. Join this amazing tour to discover the secrets, obstacles, and stories around this extraordinary church, which is considered the most personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle Ages. Feel free to visit the Museum of the construction of the temple after the tour.

Our guide was very informative, no way we could read and relate to all that you see at Sagrada Familia at the same time.

Raul was an excellent guide explaining the history of the cathedral and showing me things I wouldn't have known otherwise! I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Our guide, Raol, was excellent: well-informed, engaging, well-spoken. I do feel the instructions for the meeting place could have been clearer, and the tour was somewhat shorter than advertised. But the basilica is fascinating and it was an enjoyable experience.

Our guide, Raul, was excellent. He made the tour engaging and interesting. It's an amazing building but a guide makes all the difference in being able to interpret and appreciate the scale and skill involved

Fabulous! Our guide, Juan Miguel, was superb! Met us promptly and gave clear, accurate and insightful explanations of Gaudí, his work, his genius and the process of Sagrada Família development. He moved us through each part at a great pace with kind consideration for each of us.

Was fun. Worth it. I don’t have 100 characters to review and don’t like this homework assignment but had a fun time
