Discover the family vineyard of Château Haute-Nauve, during a guided walking tour with Marie-Anne or Florent (mother and son). Discover the journey of wine, from vine to bottle, and taste four different wines.
The vineyard has belonged to the same family for 4 generations and is located 3 km south east of the village of Saint Emilion.
Previously a member of the Saint Emilion cooperative cellar since the 1930s, in 2009, we decided to become independent and vinify our wine directly at the property.

We had an English tour with Florent in a small group. First we went into the vineyards where he explained the cultivation of the plants through the year. Afterwards he showed us all the machines and big tanks who are necessary after the wine harvest. He described the marketing of the wine. At the end we had a tasting of 4 different wines. We learned a lot about wine making and liked his humorous way. We can highly recommend this tour

My sister-in-law had booked a visit to this family farm and she had a fine nose. For more than an hour and a half Florent explained his career, his profession as a winemaker and handler from A to Z. It was extremely interesting. I said family farm because he works with his mother and a bit his brother who is an oenologist and helps him during the period related to this part of his work. We went first to the vineyards which for the most part are around his house. We are on the Saint Emilion Grand Cru and the farm is 9 ha (in the average for this sector). He then explained to us all the work from the harvest to the aging in vats. We then went to a part of the cellar where he ages his wine in barrels and where there is the tasting area. We tasted 4 wines. His rosé is very good (Exceptional for the Holy Emilion, he will explain why ..). Then a young red wine with a large majority Merlot to drink young (Appellation Saint Emilion but not grand cru), a Saint Emilion Grand Cru then to finish the top of its production in Saint Emilion Grand Cru Old Vineyards (its plots high ..). We had a great time with him and we placed an order. To be delivered to us for shipment. Rare thing to highlight is Franco de Port from 6 bottles. Exceptional! This means that you order on Amazon or its website 1 carton...or more of course but you do not pay for shipping. Another particularity of this young innovative winemaker his bottle of Rosé and Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes comes in a superb decanter bottle unusual... In short go ahead or order directly you will not be disappointed because its wines are also excellent, good value for money and really not excessive for Saint Emilion Grand Cru.

My family and I had the absolute BEST time touring the vineyard and tasting wine! The owner and his mother were very nice and welcoming, even going out of their way to ensure our tour was in English. The wine was amazing and getting to hear all about the rich family history and learn exactly how they made their wine was priceless. Truly one of the best experiences we've ever had. Thank you!

What an amazing 2 hour wine tour, our first ever & boy, was it a good one. We arrived as novices, by the time we finished, we felt like we knew everything about wine. We toured the vineyards (where they allowed us to park our motorhome amongst) & learnt about the winemaking, before we settled in to the wine cellar where we sampled the most beautiful wines. Florent was an incredible host whilst his mother Marie-Ann was ensuring everything ran smoothly in the background. The 2 of them practically run the whole vineyard & we came away from our first vineyard experience feeling like we were part of it. Florent's passion & dedication for his 4th generations family business was so evident. We are so happy we picked this small family run vineyard as our first experience. The wine is pretty sensational too, but that was just a bonus to a lovely day out., Brian & Jane
