This Session is personally hosted by the owner — a former sake brewer who trained for a year at a sake brewery in Osaka.
It is a masterclass-style experience where you can learn about the history, brewing process, and cultural depth of Japanese sake while savoring its diverse flavors.
The session takes place at "Sake Pairing Bar Potan", a refined space designed with traditional Japanese architecture where sake truly takes center stage.
Located in the Fukushima area, just minutes from central Osaka, it offers a serene yet accessible setting to learn directly from a sake professional.
As for me, the owner — I Traveled around 35 countries at the age of 20, immersing myself in different cultures.
That journey made me rediscover the beauty and richness of Japan, inspiring me to share its culture with people around the world through sake.
Beyond sake itself, I also love cross-cultural exchange, and I look forward to enjoying meaningful conversations with all of you during the experience.

The sake tasting and workshop took us on a really fun and eye-opening 2-hour journey. Our instructor, Yuki, was calm, super knowledgeable, and spoke great English. We asked a ton of questions, tasted a lot, had fun, got surprised, and probably challenged Yuki quite a bit—but he handled everything like a pro every time :) It was a really unique experience for Osaka and showed us just how big and fascinating the world of sake actually is—way beyond what we knew before.

The sake tasting experience was really nice, even though I had never tried it before. Yuki let us try three different kinds and explained everything — it was really great. Arigatò Yuki, highly recommended.

Was incredibly fortunate to visit Potan for a sake pairing session. The owner is wonderful host and talked each of us through the different types of sake, as well as the delicious paired food dishes. It’s a must-visit. If you’re a sake lover like me, you’ll be in your element. If you’ve never tasted sake for, you’ll be a convert. I’ve travelled to Japan a lot so I often get asked for itinerary ideas. Potan has made the list for any of my friends visiting Osaka. The venue would be great for a date night or a larger group experience.

This is an experience you rarely get the chance to have. Learning about sake directly from an owner who once worked as a sake brewer made this truly special. It was an incredible experience—both educational and enjoyable—and one of the highlights of my time in Japan. Thank you so much, Yuki, for such an unforgettable experience!
