This was a highlight of our trip to Japan, such a fantastic way of seeing the island and do something fun at the same time! Rento was a great guide, he is passionate about the island, sharing lots of info and showing us hidden gems, like the orange farms, he was considerate with our mixed biking abilities (our young teen daughter was with us) and the tempo and timing was just right, with enough breaks and viewing points to break up the bike hike. So glad we chose this activity, the weather was perfect as well and it really made our holiday.

You can go all the way up the volcano and you can do it with no effort herded into a bus like a bunch of cattle or you can do it here on this tour peddling like mad on an E bike, where you have to actually earn the summit with the muscles in your legs. You’ll also earn your dinner and earn your evening shower with the calories that you’ll burn during this excursion. The tour host was gracious enough to continue the booking, even though I was the only one booked for that day. The tour guide is enthusiastic and thorough. Recommended for those cardiovascularly fit and under the age of 55.

This was a very interesting and fun way to see Sakurajima. Our guide Rento was great at sharing information while also allowing time to enjoy the amazing scenery. The bikes seemed very new and all really straightforward. Definitely recommend

The tour was amazing and I highly recommend it. Rento guided us with the e-bike till the Yunohira Observatory and the journey was beautiful. And on the way back we saw the local orange farmers. Also thank you Rento for all the food recommendations!!

What a wonderful journey with Rento! He is a well-spoken, informative and patient guide. I took a solo trip with him up the side of the Sakurajima Volcano to the look out point. He explained everything we were seeing and took me through the mountain roads on the way down where we saw a wild boar, the Sakurajima Komikan oranges which only grow on the island. I was truly exhilerating.

We had a wonderful bike ride with our guide Rento. We were told and shown a lot about the island of Sakurajima. I especially loved how Rento has shown through pictures how much the island has changed over the last hundreds of years. Thanks to the electric drive, the bike tour is also suitable for physically rather unsportsmanlike people, but despite this the climb was not child's play. After a beautiful panoramic view it goes steeply downhill. Downhill riders get their money's worth here;)

We had a very nice e morning starting with a quick, guided tour of the visitors center and all its information. Our event started on time and ended on time. Our guide and his wife and young daughter live on the island so we received an excellent perspective of the sites and history of Sakurajima. The biking was easy as we were on high quality, Yamaha type 1 eBikes. Would highly recommend this experience.

Rento was a great guide, knowledgeable and considerate. The bike climb to the observatory took some effort but the e-bike made it significantly achievable by regular folks. You get rewarded with a great view of the bay, mountain, and City. If you come from Kagoshima there is an easy ferry to Sakurajima followed by a <10 minutes walk to the visitor center. We took a taxi from the cruise port to the ferry. A worthy tour you should try if you have average physical capacity.
