1.00Through Tripadvisor we had booked a full-day excursion East and Westdhofar with Oman Day Tours and already indicated at the time of booking that we wanted to be picked up from our hotel Alila Hinu Bay near Mirbat. A few days before the planned tour, Oman Day Tours contacted us via WhatsApp and charged an additional pick-up fee of 30 ORM (= about 65 €) and also told us that this tour was not feasible in one day from our hotel and we would therefore only make one trip through East Dhofar. Of course, we were aware that our hotel was far outside the usual pick-up locations in Salalah, but thought, as we had indicated our hotel as a pick-up special request when booking, that the booking would go so fine. In this respect, it would be fair if these price surcharges were to be communicated to the customer immediately when booking. We felt, however, that the programme should be changed at short notice and without first consulting us. Also, the refund of our already paid amount has not yet taken place. We had more positive experiences with another booking platform. In this respect, I cannot recommend booking with Oman Day Tours. I can document my email and WhatsApp messages at any time.

5.00I was on holiday in Salalah with a group of over 20 persons.We booked a tour Salalah East & West Combination organized by Oman Day Tours.We were very happy with the tour.Our guide was very professional and spoke good English. Besides, he was a very nice person and told us a lot of interesting things ,not only about the places we visited, but also about life in Oman and fascinating traditions of the country. The tour included both historic places and spectacular beauty spots, and was well-balanced.Our coach was comfortable and the driver was so keen on showing us the best of the region,even beyond the the itinerary ! On the whole I can fully recommend the company for those who want to see something more than only their hotel's grounds.
