Colchani
You will continue to Colchani, a small town where you will know the artisan process of salt and you can buy local crafts made with this mineral.
Salar de Uyuni
Upon entering the majestic Salar de Uyuni, you will visit the famous Ojos de Sal, natural formations where saltwater emerges from inside the salt flat. You’ll also explore a Salt Hotel turned museum, built entirely of salt blocks. The tour continues through the World Flags sector and the Dakar Rally Monument, iconic symbols of the salt flat. Then you will enjoy the Salt Staircase, an ideal point for creative photography.
Isla Incahuasi
Later, you will visit the stunning Incahuasi Island, surrounded by an infinite white sea and covered with giant millennial cacti. From here you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views. The island has a visitor service point managed by the association of municipalities of Llica and Tahua, jurisdictions to which this territory belongs. In this place, you are asked, optionally, to pay a fee of 30 bolivianos to enter a clearly marked and easy to travel path. This trail allows you to cross the island while you can see stunning landscapes of the salt flat, the intense blue of the sky and the large number of cacti that inhabit the area. (In the rainy season, from January to March, access to Incahuasi Island IS NOT POSSIBLE due to high water accumulation.)
Salar de Uyuni
At the end of the day, you will live one of the most magical moments: the sunset in the Salar de Uyuni, where the sky and the earth merge in an unforgettable spectacle of colors. The tour ends at approximately 20:00 hrs with return to the city of Uyuni. Overnight in Uyuni (overnight).
