My trip to Ohalik Valley was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the guide, Abdulaziz. He was extremely informative, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of Samarkand. Throughout the hike, he explained many interesting stories about local traditions & everyday life in the region. As a geologist myself, I was especially interested in the rocks and landscape formations, and Abdulaziz was very accommodating to my interests. We made several stops along the way because I was constantly amazed by the stunning geological features and scenery. We also took many photos and videos, and I have to say he is a very good photographer too (which was a fun bonus, hahaha!). He was also very warm and respectful towards the local people we met during the hike, which made the experience feel authentic and personal. Abdulaziz created a comfortable atmosphere for everyone and was always happy to answer questions. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to explore Ohalik Valley while learning more about Uzbekistan's rich heritage, enjoying beautiful landscapes, and spending time with a knowledgeable and genuinely kind guide.

Refreshing walk through a village, stream and a great hike up to the mountains with gorgeous views. Get to see wild flowers and farm animals grazing in the fields.

The excursion was fantastic! Abdulaziz is an excellent guide, always ready to share a story about the city or the country's history. The organization was top-notch, perfect timing, and comfortable arrangements. If you want to take a break away from the city and its turmoil, go for it, it's the perfect opportunity!

Abdulaziz was an excellent guide. He was punctual, friendly and funny, and had great knowledge on the history and area of Samarkand as well as Uzbekistan in general. The hike was really beautiful. It was scenic, peaceful, and offered breathtaking views. Overall it was an easy hike, but I recommend wear shoes with good grip as some parts have slopes or are slightly sandy/muddy. The pace was good and the views are more than worth it. I highly recommend this to those coming to Samarkand especially if you want something different from city and old town tours.
