  This is a real deal Samurai training class! This is not a photo shoot, although you do take home a lot of pictures! They were lovely people and very playful although the training is challenging we learned so much and made great memories!

  Amazing to learn a 1000 years old traditional martial arts and to know the history. Coming Osaka cannot miss this. Instructor speaks good English with a well speaking assistant. Overall my 3 Sons enjoyed it.

  Very nice people, the experience was very easy and fun. It was a very clean facility and a great experience. Glad I learned a little history about kendo. It’s a must to do activity, if you’re stopping by in Osaka

• A Can’t Miss Osaka Experience.

  To say that we had a blast doing this is an understatement. For the whole two hours we were immersed into learning the art of Kendo. We were given a brief, thorough history of the samurai before we got started. Then, Toshi took us through the basics of Kendo, including how to properly center yourself before practice, the proper stance, foundational movements, the key hits, and some more advanced combos. At the end of the class, Toshi taught us how to properly duel in Kendo before we had classic match against each other. Afterwards we were challenged to a 2 vs 1 against Toshi himself and man, is he fast. You don't even realize you've been hit at first! Toshi and Kumi were exceptional! They were professional, polite, and patient with us the whole way through. They also provide snacks and drinks afterwards and water if you need it throughout the course. It was definitely one of the biggest highlights of our whole trip and we truly enjoyed every second of it. Seriously, if you are in Osaka and want to try Kendo. This is the place to do it!!!
